FORT WORTH - A 49-year-old Wise County man has been identified as the worker who was killed Saturday in an explosion at a natural gas well in the 3600 block of Lon Stephenson Road in Forest Hill.
Robert Gayan of Paradise was one of four people working on the TXO Energy owned well when the well head blowout happened, about 7:45 a.m. Saturday. None of the other workers was seriously injured.
Hundreds of Forest Hill residents were evacuated from their homes while emergency personnel secured the well head and recovered Gayan’s body from the site.

This is just heartbreaking! I knew him well as well as the entire family. My heart goes out to his girls and all of his family.
How Very Sad ...
I will pray for him and his Family. We all go out every day in this world and do the best we can for our families.
It is often hard to understand whats Gods Plans are for us?
I hope maybe we can learn from this and question all these gas wells next to our homes & maybe something can be done.
Anyone who tells you that working or living around anything to do with oil or gas production is not dangerous is lying to you. Look in the messenger archives for the picture of that 210 Bbl tank that
exploded like a rocket and crashed thru the roof of a two story house nearby (maybe 100-150yards). It happened near Decatur. The people who lived there were named Ness, i believe, fortunatly they were were not there when it landed in their bedroom.
