The Texas Lotto has dropped the "bonus ball". But I'm more interested to see and hear TV and radio commercials featuring Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith promoting the new Lotto. (They do a horrible acting job referring to a "comeback"). How much did that cost Texas? By the way, the odds of winning a Lotto jackpot will go from 1 in about 48 million to about 1 in 25.8 million.

I found the ads very effective. They tune in tomorrow caught my attention and I really wondered what was coming. (no I didn't think they were coming back) It was good like many of the other lottery commercials.

Even at the new odds, it remains an unfair tax on the stupid.

Just what is the advertising budget for the Lotto? The only winners in this gambling program are the administrators and the advertisers. They get richer while fleecing the poor and/or stupid.

They don't hold a gun to your head and make you buy the tickets...
