I'm Insane Now

One minute into Fox 4's 10:00 p.m. newscast tonight, anchorman Steve Eager said this: "For a closer look at how people are handling this dramatic change of weather, here is Fox 4's Lari Barager live tonight in Denton" (then they throw it to the very spare Lari). A report on "how people are handling" the temperature? It's 50 degrees at 1o:oo p.m.!!!!

Fox 4 will do anything to get viewers watching for even 10 seconds. I said the same thing. They could have waited until this morning to do the same thing. I bet they will name it to. Arctic Blast 2006! OMFG I hate these idiots.

"If we can pan the camera down to the roadway, you'll see that it's got wetness on it...drivers are aware of the wetness, yet seem to be driving as they normally would in wet conditions. If, by chance, the temperature should drop a few more degrees this wetness might turn into something else..and it's a sure bet that drivers driving through here will have to drive on whatever that is; probably without incident. I'll be stationed right here on this concrete in order to bring any breaking news about drivers driving on stuff they have to drive on."

That's funny 10:23. I do believe I rather watch you report news than some of the goofballs on TV now.

Anyone who watches Fox (Faux) News to become informed is sadly misdirected. Unfortunately, the other local stations are not much better - they all do this goofy "on the site reporting" of non-news. I'd rather surf the cable outlets and the internet to get better versions (not all perfect) of the news. But Fox and news should not be included in the same sentence.

Unfortunately, they all do it. As long as we keep tuning into this garbage, they'll keep doing it.
