Well, well, well...Someone posted a comment when the movie first came out that it wasn't making any money...SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE...
Brokeback Mountain", the little art house film that wasn't expected to make much cash and surprised everyone including the studio by becoming a hit and top Oscar contender has racked up $66.6 million in ticket sales.
You know, HONESTLY, I'm a card-carrying Republican Conservative. I've been called "provincial...traditional," etc.
YET, I saw 'BB Mountain.' My father's still hacked. He "reared [me] better than that."
It's just a movie...a love story, and if 'Madame Butterfly' can be a classic opera HIT since 1904, then I'm sure we can withstand the sheepherders not being able "to quit" each other.

I saw the movie with my spouse. We both thought it was an excellent, tragic love story. Very well done.
