I was reading a book tonight that referenced Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp. That made me recall that Tripp had recorded many phone calls with Lewinsky without Lewinsky's knowledge.
Isn't that one of the largest betrayals you can imagine? To have your friend record your private phone call and broadcast them to the world?

I think there was a lot going on there behind the scenes that we don't know about. I don't have much sympathy for either one. I my heart of hearts, I think Bill was set up. Bear in mind am really fairly conservative. I am just sick to death of the mudsling attacks and etc that go on.

Yep. I get that with Tripp too. The bit they did on SNL with John Goodman playing her makes me laugh just thinking about it.
That and the skit that Tim Meadows did as the "Ladies Man" where he critiqued Clintons handling of Lewinsky bringing in the pizza. I sure to miss the SNL's when they were making fun of Clinton.

Linda Tripp is definitely scum. Monica on the other hand is just like many many young girls in their early 20's - very immature. Definitely a betrayal of monsterous porportions.

I can't tell you how much I miss seeing that shot of Monica wearing her beret coming out of the Whitehouse corp crowd and hugging President Teflon (that we got to see on every news cast for 18 months).
