Some people say that the Fox News Network is just a mouthpiece for the Republican Party. Hmmmmm.
A couple of days ago, President Bush held a press conference to announce that John Roberts would be nominated for the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The press asked "What have we learned about him?" to which Bush responded "Well, he's a gentleman."
Sheesh.
Quite the qualification for the Supreme Court. Then, suddenly, Fox News put up the graphic (right). Click to enlarge.
(This, by the way, was stolen from tonight's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart)

Well, as not only a conservative republican, but a Bush supporter as well, everytime I watch the daily with Jon Stewart I notice that they love to bash Bush. Instead of getting mad, my I just laugh along them, I mean come on people it's a comedy based show.
The Bush administration is a comedy based show with horrible results.
Coming from a conservative,
IF SO MANY PEOPLE HATE HIM, WHY IS HE STILL IN OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess the trem Gentlem is not a word the liberals understand
In response to anon at 7:51: perhaps he's still in office because his term is not up--DUHHHH!!
In response to anon at 8:27: I doubt liberals, conservatives, or anyone else who reads this would understand what "trem Gentmen" means.
Anon # 4, your right. After having endured the Fasist radical right and Neocons for 13 years, the original definition of what a "gentleman" is has been totally scewed and obliterated.
You know Barry there was a time when the banter here was light and fun, there was a teasing quality to it. However there have been people come in lately that are just hateful and mean.
I hope that was not what you wanted for you blog.
Everyone deserves the right to their opinions, and everyone deserves a bit of respect if theirs differ from yours. That seems to be disapearing from here.
I used to come here everyday to see the humorous comments and to leave my own. There seems to be little of that left, and we are poorer for it.
Maybe everyone should have to sign in and quit being anonymous.
Regarding the political bickering, can anyone one here whether Republican, Democrat, Independent, Village Idiot, Alien or otherwise, really say that any administration has been all that great in the last who knows how many years? I voted for Bush and couldn't stand Clinton. I thought the Clinton administration was horrible but the world didn't end and I don't think Bush has done the job I had hoped for but at least he's not Clinton. It seems we are always voting on the lesser of the evils we abhor instead of for a person we are confident will rise above the rest. Then again, we're all just human.
One more thing. For all the people who would bash the politicians, step up and do it yourself. It's real easy to tear 'em down. I've been there before and may again one day but it isn't a bed of roses being in the political firestorm.
Are you not anonymous if your name is land o wise?
To #7, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Waaa waaa waaa. Healthy exchange of ideas and opinions is always a good thing. If one can be a little humorous to make a point - another good thing.
To Land o' Wise - I recently read where someone thought Clinton was a terrible President and how awful it was that a President would get a (well, you know) in the White House. The response was... better for the President to get a (well, you know) in the White House than for the President to screw all of America.
We live in huge country and it is full completely different people. No matter what you do, someone is going to be un-happy, period. The big difference between Bush and Clinton is GW is doing what he feels is best for this country and Bill was worried about himself. Bill was a much better speaker, and probably a lot smarter than GW but he lacked passion for his country.
That is probably what I dislike most about liberals is that they care more about themselves than others. IMO
I must respectfully disagree with the idea that Bill Clinton has no passion for his country.
He and the President's father are working together to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Good!
Ted Kennedy would drink to that.
The election was decided not by who people wanted to be president, but who they didn't want to be president.
