Argyle is 2A folks....I though B'port was supposed to be pretty good. Decatur is most certainly in a rebuilding year at this point. Both teams are in the process of crashing and burning.
Looks like those Boyd Yellowjackets may be the only bright spot in the county....again. Some things never change.
Eagles lose? Nah, not really, when the Messenger reporter fixes things. Meanwhile, a nervous head coach scans some job opportunities, just in case this happens again.
Bulls get beat by 2A team LOL! their game this coming Friday is up North that teams really stinks! I bet the bulls get beat! We all fell out of our chairs when the polls came out and seen where the bulls where state rank? what were they somking? (lol) I went the the eagles game last nignt, bulls pray that you don't play the big G! they were awesome real Big! Real real FAST!# 34 was something to see! I said before the game the score would be G 42 eagles 21 i was close! but i have a lot of repsect for Decatur! they never gave up!
It's one thing to lose to Gainseville and quite another to lose to a 2A school. It won't be a great year for Decatur but B'port sure isn't making the early season rankings look very astute.
hmm, argyle and gainesville? i think our two wise county teams played totally different teams --ones a pretender and ones a contender. if brideport cant beat a 2A school, henson better reserve a u-haul truck.
I just think that it is funny. Alvord wins 50 to 0 and doesn't even make the front page of the Sports in the WCM. B'port, Decatur, and Northwest all get beat and still get the headlines...
Argyle maybe 2A but they have only 40 fewer students than bport. They are a good 2A football team. Nobody makes a big deal if you lose to Celina or Pilot Point. Argyle will not be 2A long enough to become a powerhouse.

i would rather see the tough games, and from reading, it looked like those were bridgeport, decatur and northwest. maybe i'm wrong, but at least there is a paper that covers all of our high schools. we live in paradise and we dont have a paper and the FW star will never write a story about our game, whether its on the front, back or in the obits.
The FW Star doesn't cover Decatur much either. They got a lot of coverage last year because they were ranked so high in the state, but there was no writeup in that paper over the weekend about the Dec-Gains game and they have Gainsville picked as the #1 team in the area. I have long said someone from Bport works in the Sports dept there, did you see the huge article about the girls going back to the Sissies on Friday?
thats why we should appreciate the papers we have in wise county and not bash them. the index dont cover any female sports in the fall, so we enjoy getting our messenger. does it have alot of paradise stuff? nope, but they do get us in there and thats more than any other paper. FW start just frustrates me, but then again, who am i to them? nobody.

I'm sooooooooo glad the Eagles got beat. I'm so sick of hearing about them. (and I'm not even a B'port fan, either.)

Lets see Decatur is 31-2 in the reg season last 4 yrs !!! i guess that says a lot
