That was hilarious.

I'm sorry- I don't get it.

I believe this is a paid ad.

He needed his butt busted. Mine would have made it to the dugout and would be made to apologize to his coach and the coach of the opposing team. That’s ridiculous.

Well, that makes me feel a lot better about my own children's occasional bizarre behavior. Although, in that scenario, my son does the exact opposite: Runs his butt off!

That is what is wrong with that level of team sports. They are there to have fun and learn to play the game.

I know he should put out his best effort, but they are just kids.

Has anyone been to Decatur baseball and softball fields? They are sad and ridiculous. Harmon park has had no running water all season and the playground is a piece of junk. I am surprised a softball player hasn't broke an ankle out at Renshaw. This city has such SHITTY parks. It is pathetic that Chico has nicer fields and parks. City Council and Brett Shannon should be ashamed!!!

Is that Bengie Molina Jr.? Left fielder is playing a little close and Pudge Jr. is about to rock his world.

Bear...you are right. They are there to have fun and learn to play the game. That is not learning to play a TEAM sport. Do you think the kid waiting to bat was having fun? At the next level when winning really matters, that kid has LEARNED that it is okay to grandstand and waste everyone’s time. Including that of his coach, teammates and parents. Letting kids act however they want because they are having fun is what is wrong with the world today.

11:08, so if I'm reading your post right, Chico is the measuring stick for baseball/softball parks? Aim a little higher bud.

That is one of the greatest moments in T Ball history.

TBall is tough.... the kids can't catch or throw and every play is stressful and worse yet....you deal with drama filled moms and dads who still haven't figured out the game and still believe that their kid is the next MLB sensation .... practices are like herding cats. You need lots of comedy to make it through a season.

Give me this kid on my T Ball team!!!

What's worse than that is the opposing team. Where was the ball? The center fielder could have walked the ball in and put him out. I'd be embarrassed if I were the other team.

Here is my opinion, Skippy. I'll bet he uses a pink plastic bat!!!

Good grief! Just take a deep breath & calm down. There are worse things in the world than a 4 year old with a sense of humor.
It’s only a kid’s t-ball game.

They spend it all on The reunion to please the baptists.

10:08, this kid should NOT be beaten as you suggest. They're kids.

Anonymous said...

He should be beaten up? He should put out his best effort? He's not learning baseball? What complete idiots are commenting? He's 5 and will not remember any of this (unless of course he's assaulted by someone like 10:08 when he reaches the dugout).

Less than 1 in a thousand (or fewer) will play any sport beyond high school.

By all means, treat every kid as if they are to be a professional athlete or Rhodes Scholar.

Let the 99% that will not meet those achievements just suffer the 1%'s training and hope they learn enough to get by later in life.

Is this kid working on a revolutionary insight into running? - and maybe also into our sprinting-but-going-nowhere mindsets?

btw Mr. Adult Budinski so very mature there on the third base line fyi: Interfering with his process is wrong-headed and futile.

I await the development of the lad's verbal skills so he can tell us what he's found.

omg. omg no. NO! - it couldn't be, could it? At his age? He's seen and resonated with "The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Runner" ?
