Big Decatur "Boom" At 11:00 a.m

Artist's rendition. Probably a little exaggerated

Anyone know what that was?

I don't know what it was but there are no more palm trees left standing in Wise county.

Heard it between Chico and Alvord. Thought it was just another rock crusher shot. If you heard it in Decatur, that probably wasn't the cause.

It shook foundations in Decatur

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it. He's rolling.

I heard it in Ponder then looked up in the sky and saw what looked like Air Force One approaching DFW

Shook the buildings just off the square. They will probably claim it was a sonic boom.

Had to cool me down
To take another round
Now I'm back in the ring to take another swing
'Cause the walls were shaking
The earth was quaking
My mind was aching

Air Force One was arriving at DFW today, but I'm not sure at what time. Why would that bring a big bang...unless someone was shooting a missile at it?

Also heard Wise County has granted permission for sonic booms to the Air Force. I'd be inclined to agree that has occurred since we've had many sonic booms over the last few years here. I sure thought those had been outlawed many years ago because of the damage they caused to buildings.
