The Only Time Baseball Is As Exciting As A Run Of The Mill College Football Game

As of this moment, Tampa Bay and Boston are fighting for the last playoff spot. If both win or both lose, they will have an extra game tomorrow to decide who gets in. Otherwise, the winner grabs the final spot. Currently, Tampa Bay just threw up an "Oh, my!"

Also, if Texas wins, they face the Tampa Bay/Boston winner in Arlington on Friday. If they lose tonight, they go to New York for a game on Friday. Currently:

It may take 160 games to get to some excitement, but tonight's the night.

Baseball is 100x better than any football game. Football is 60 minutes of nothing crammed into three hours of mainly commercials.

If you understand baseball, it is constantly interesting for the entire game.

Perhaps you just like the hitting, man on man action?

In terms of the game itself, I prefer football over baseball. But the attitudes and personalities of many pro football players is a huge turn-off. These days, I much prefer the more laid-back atmosphere surrounding pro baseball. The NFL is looking more and more like the NBA: Lots of flash; lots of ego; little sport.

After it was all over, ESipN (spelled that way for their love affair with the t-sips in Austin) ran a side-by-side replay of the highlights of both games. It was very exciting watching this, as 3 minutes after Boston lost in the 9th, the Rays won in the 12th. There was a rain-delay in the Boston game, so they got to sit in the dugout and watch the Rays get those 6 runs in the 8th inning. Looks like it deflated them instead of inspring them. Go Rangers!
