I could not applaud the Rangers organization, Nolan Ryan in particular, more for stepping out there and doing exactly the right thing in this situation. I really do not get all the negativity regarding this, some people are just full of hate and self-loathing I guess. People mistake this as making Mr. Stone out to be a hero when the Rangers are simply memorializing a very sad and tragic event.
And, in other news- Furious about the media attention Nolan Ryan is getting, Jerry Jones will throw a dozen puppies and one infant off the roof of the Death Star... ♫

It was a good thing, but I predict they will regret it down the road as in "where do you stop" for future incidents and will probably take a worse beating than the above post.
Well, I think that all of the things that have gtone on for the family and the guy are nice and everything, but doesn't it set a dangerous precedent? I mean, I feel devastated for the family, but what about the pereson who died loast year? Where's their statue? Also, who's to say that there won't be more accidental deaths? However, I DO think some of the comments on here are pretty harsh!

The irony of it all is that the kid overthrew the catcher and a kid in the stands fell to his death trying to catch it.
