Too bad the prosecution couldn't be moved to Denton County...

So, is she single!?!?

If you feel you must kill your kid, do it in Florida, not Texas..

This is a sad day for Caylee, America, and the judicial system.

I don't know how many counts of Lying to Officials she's up against but I bet the judge gives her a full year for each.

Didn't see this coming.

Seems as though the higher profile cases tend to end up in acquittal.

I'd bet a phsycologist out there would tell us that ordinary citizens- turned- jurors, in these cases feel the need to err on the side of caution.

There is no justice in this system! The girl should fry.

WHY?

I still cant believe this....there was no justice for Caylee, now her mom is going to get out and be able to have more babies, I guess if something happenes to one of them, she will just lie her way out of it again......its really sad.

I was at DFW airport waiting on an arrival when this was read. It was amazing to watch the people stop what they were doing and gather around the tvs to listen. It was also amazing to hear the collective "WHAT????" as the verdicts were read! Another OJ, I say! Agree or disagree, if she is guilty, she will get what's coming to her. Maybe not in this life time, but she will!

Anonymous said...

Wow. Means someone else did it. And how on earth, after this trial and its evidence, could ANYONE else ever be convicted? It's like the OJ trial. He didn't do it, but there's also no way that anyone else could ever be convicted since there would be so much "reasonable doubt" that OJ actually was the one. In the end, NOBODY did it.

If you want to get away with murder, do it in California or Florida. They won't convict you there.

She thinks she got away with it.
God will get her in the end

Same here....Prosecution should have went for less charge than 1st degree....Burden of proof was hell on them

Anonymous said...

Not guilty because of the way the charged were written.
I believe Caylee drown and somebody helped her dispose of the body. Either her father or her boy friend. We may never know, unless she write a book of truth.
She might as well tell the truth, as they cannot try her again.

That jury is just plain stupid. That is all.

...and we call this our "justice" system!?
Let's have a new name:
USA legal "FARCE system" is more like it.

Sickening that evil is allowed to go unpunished here.

Been there done that and it never got that far.

ok, the whole world "knows" she did it, but for once a jury wanted proof that she did...just sayin'

Does the name Orenthal Simpson ring a bell?

Anonymous said...

That is one crazy family...

Dad wants to commit suicide during the trial and mom lies about using the internet ....

the parents accidentally on purpose foiled this one...

hey... the girl can go party now like she wanted all along....

More than one "talking head" attributed verdict to sequestered jury........not inundated by media hype/hysteria for the last thirty days.

The haters won't be able to blame this one on a black defendant, black jury.

Sorry, but the evidence was there to convict the mother. The defense did a great job in making it look like it was an accidental drowning and placing blame on the father for sexual abuse for hiding the body.

The duct tape on the mouth couldn't be explained away in my opinion.

This woman will wind up in jail in the future because she is so sick!

High profile defense attorneys win in jury selection and that is why the jury didn't want to talk to the press!

THis is in regard to your poll - where there is no place to comment.

I am neutral about the Random Thoughts Girl - I don't find it offensive nor "a pretty funny bit." I find it very male; but not offensive. So neither answer fit, so I didn't answer that one. (I'm a woman.)

I have been away for a long time but decided to pop back knowing your fondness for Nancy Grace. I am surprised you were de-hammocked. Did you think the prosecution proved their case? I think she is guilty as sin but they didn't prove it. Didn't even really come close. While it is unfortunate she got away with murder in my opinion, it is more unfortunate that the Prosecutor that rushed to trial without sufficient proof let down poor Caylee.

Not that a verdict will end the speculation, but man I'm sick of hearing about that case.

I am definately sick about her getting off with not guilty. I think it is alot of how the prosecution presented the case and the people that sat on the witness stand that lied and contradicted each other.
But...what I don't understand after this is all said and done..does not anyone get charges brought up for not reporting the girl's supposedly accidental drowning and dumping her dead body out in the woods like a dead animal?? Is that not against the law?

I am sickened that Casey Anthony was found Not Guilty. She killed her child, wrapped her like trash, and threw her in a swamp. Sorry if the jury couldn't use their common sense to come up with the correct verdict. But, just as O.J., she has a criminal mind and she will not be able to stay out of jail. Who knows where she will go but she won't be going home to her parents!! We will hear about Casey Anthony again!!

The DA did not do their job-- the jury did the only thing they could under the circumstances.
