- The Texas Anglo population has now dropped to 45.3 percent, down from 52.4 percent in 2000.
- About 11.5 percent of the population is black, unchanged from 10 years ago
- Wise County's new population is 59,127

Too late to close the gate. In 50 years or so we will all be a little darker in skin color and may not speak english. Glad I will be gone from here.

Australia is 91% Anglo and 0% Mexican. Too far to swim and too many sharks for any wetback. I will miss the whitetail deer and other Texas wildlife. But, I can't break the family tradition by being the 1st generation in 200 years to have lived in only one country. And I don't want my offspring to pick up any low IQ genes. Nor do I want my grandchildren to have Spanish as their language. The times they are changing.

2. It was started as a penal colony, where everyone was already a criminal.
So I guess, based on the logic that "they break the law just by being here", all white Australians should be kicked out?

Whites are still a majority... There are more whites than blacks... and there are more whites than mexicans (who dislike blacks more than whites). Besides whites dominate in politics and business.
All it really means is we have more cheap labor than northern and southeastern states, and their legislators know this is an advantage. That's why, early on, the biggest proponents to border fences were wing-nuts from the N and SE.

What I don't understand is...back in the 60's and 70's, Wise county citizens were BRINGING the folks here so they could work on thier dairies, farms, etc. Some of the employers even helped them buy homes and get citizenship. Why weren't folks raising cain back then about the illegal immigration of the Mexican nationals? But I forgot, that was when Texas was still full of TEXANS instead of a bunch of transplanted YANKEES!
I am absolutely cool with someone, anyone, trying to do anything they can (legally) to support their family.
I say... lets make them all legal citizens, give them a social security card, and start gathering taxes from them to pay their medical, education, etc.
You won't have to close the borders... it won't be such a sweet deal.

45.3% is still a bigger slice of the pie than either the chocolate part or the caramel part. When a slice of the pie is larger than everyone else's then that's the majority.
