Random Monday Morning Thoughts

  • Bill White has received a ton of money from Trial Lawyers. Regardless of the amount, the bad press that goes along with it isn't worth it.
  • The chance of getting in the playoffs after starting 0-2 is slightly higher than 10%.
  • Is there anything more defeating than looking at Wade Phillips on the sideline?
  • Unluckiest man in the world? North Texas coach Todd Dodge. With a good showing against Clemson, his star quarterback dislocates a hip on the last series of the game. Then this weekend he loses his backup to a broken leg.
  • I guess those miners are still trapped in Chile.
  • AnObiter's blog has been mentioning a kid that was beaten by other kids from his high school school. And her latest update has the shocking statement of "he probably won't keep his teeth." The best I can tell, the cops are involved. It has to be either Northwest ISD or Boyd. Not sure which. Anyone?
  • I'm not sure what's more amazing: Delaware Tea Party golden child Christine O'Donnell admitting to dabbling in witchcraft or that she was on a show with Bill Maher in 1999.
  • I wondered when this was going to happen: Guy almost gets killed by the sharp end of a broken bat.
  • Funny video of NFL officials trying to get a Giant's helmet back from the crowd after the goof ball threw it in there. (But, man that's one ugly gal that appears halfway threw it.)

Dallas is OVERRATED every year.

It's hard to say whose reputation is being hurt more -- the trial lawyers for investing millions of dollars in a Democrat, or the Democrat for taking the money. I guess the lawyers are still trying to figure out how to spend the $3.3 billion in fees they received from the tobacco settlement.

What's that hangage under her thangage?

"The Bears haven’t had a winning season since the inception of the Big 12 in 1996 and are 2-48 against ranked teams during that span—0-19 vs. top-five teams."

The Tea Party needs to do a better job checking out the candidates they support. Before they get out their pitch forks and torches to drive out the moderates, they need to know what their replacement candidate was doing back in High School.

Follow the rule to elect the most conservative candidate that is electable.

She made light of the fact she dabbled in withcraft back in high school and asked who didn't run around with a bad crowd. A lot of us didn't run around with wanna be witches.

The Tea Party is making some of the same mistakes the Democrat grass roots made back in 2008.

What was that about minors being trapped in a Chili's?

"...anything more defeating than looking at Wade Phillips on the sideline?"
Yes - looking at the Cowboys BETWEEN the sidelines.
I gotta agree with the Musers, letting Dan Reeves get away was a big mistake

The chances of getting to the playoffs are better than 10%, huh?
So, you're saying there's a chance!

Triple Fake Dumb (or Dumber - I could never figure out which was which!)

915 - What "Tea Party" are you referring to? The Tea Party movement is a coalition of groups with similar, sometimes overlapping interests, but there is no single decision-making body.

As for the Buckley rule, who determines which candidate is "electable?" Those who decided McCain was the best Republican candidate in '08? His best attribute was that he was not Obama. The politicians in Congress who, by virtue of holding the office, can be called "electable," have run up $13 trillion in debt ($2 trillion of it in the twenty months since Obama took office.) How's that standard working out?

If Chappaquiddick, Keating, Lewinsky, and numerous other scandals failed to derail political careers, it's clear that there is no standard for what constitutes "electable."

I love it when ambulance chasers throw their money down a rat hole.

I've been to a Garden Party but not a Tea Party.

Its Northwest. That ridiculous BS would never be tolerated in Boyd. Poke fun all you want, the kids in Boyd would never behave that horrifically to each other, nor would the powers that be tolerate such behavior.

I appreciate the fact that 10:30 a.m. is defending Boyd. There are good things going on in the Boyd ISD. Having said that, I have worked for Boyd ISD and have been a tax payer and parent at Boyd ISD. Lots of things are allowed to go on if you are one of the parents that run administration. There are a few. You would be surprised who the "powers that be" actually are in Boyd ISD!!

Sorry folks, it was in Boyd.

Boyd is just a little too close to Newark for me

Today's girl---- BAD UGLY fingernails!

No, I wouldn't be surprised at all actually. I've had to deal with the crap that some of them get away with, but never in a million years would anything be allowed to escalate like that crap in NW. Never. I have however, seen first hand how the admin peeps kids get away with crap, but it was NOTHING like that beating bullying shit. All in all, I would rather have kids here in Boyd than many other places. We are very lucky, thank God.

WBAP (Lamb, I think)said this morning that only 13% of the teams who started w/a 0-2 record ever made it to the playoffs. And noo team starting 0-3 ever made it. Come on TEXANS!!!!

It is not Boyd people..It is NW. Not that Boyd is better, but they do not tolerate it, and it would not have been kept hush hush in Boyd. Seriously, secrets at Boyd? I doubt it seriously..And i would like to think that Bryans and Bracey dont allow that kind of BS to go on. Now of course there is bullying going on, of course if your Emshoff's kid you can get away with fighting and not get suspended, atleast that was the case when he was principal, now that he is super, I hate to think what could go on..

Yes it did happen in Boyd by some girls that had moved to Boyd. Too bad we have that kind of people moving into our district.

That was just the opening salvo from Bill Maher. He has tons of her making wacko statements on tape from Politically Incorrect and wants her to appear on Real Time. Maher said "It's like a hostage crisis. Every week you don't show up, I'm going to throw another body out."

Anonymous said...

Gross, she startn to get those little Cafetria lady wing arms if you look kinda close.

RPM:

Here's the context in which Maher said that:

"Maher seemed to remember her visits to the show fondly, sending her good wishes and predicting that she may be more successful than Sarah Palin because “Sarah Palin is mean and Christine is not.” Despite deeming her nice enough to not attack her in any direct way, Maher was not above digging through old clips of her on his program saying wacky things in order to get her back on his show. “It’s like a hostage crisis,” he explained, “Every week you don’t show up, I’ll throw a body out.”

Good liberal. Context is kind of important. Kinda takes the teeth out of the quote.

There was never a problem when Hillary dabbled in witchcraft while in the White House. I remember being told how smart she was whenever she was channeling Eleanor Roosevelt. Coockoo!!!

Insurance companies got us thinking every lawsuit is frivolous but their own lawsuit.

When you get run over by a rock truck and can't work, we will see if you are throwing rocks at those trial lawyers.
