Limited Interest

This isn't all that exciting, but since I know my lawyer buddies and a ton of folks from law enforcement check in here from time to time, I thought I'd point out that Denny Crane has a pretty remarkable video posted of a deputy removing a document from a defense lawyer's file during a hearing.

it would seem that the state is activly conspiring to deprive justice to this individual. If the state is willing to tamper with an attorney's files in the sentencing portion why are we to believe the same would not happen during trial? The conviction should be vacated, the defendent released and jeapordy attatched. A through investigation of the court and police detail should be completed as well. As seen on the video the officer had no qualms about walking up to the defense table and rifling through the papers there.

There is very little difference between many cops and crooks psychologically speaking. Both feel entitled and they will do whatever it takes to manipulate those around them for their own benefit.

That deputy had no business over there. If it weren't for the defendant noticing the theft, the defense attorney would have never known the paper was taken. If this had been here in Texas, I would hope that the people would not re-elect her.

Weak judge. That's just pathetic.

Welcome to Maricopa County - The Home of Sheriff Joe's Lawmen (and I use the word Sheriff and Lawmen very very loosely)

Seeing stuff like this makes me miss Wise County...almost...

Stoddard is a liar. He's a sneak and is not worthy of wearing a uniform. The judge is an idiot. After reviewing the video I saw she should throw the book at the two deputies. The judge and deputy must be related or something. The state people need to investigate this independently. This nonsense pisses me off.

How dare he. That video makes me sick every time I watch it and I cant help but watch it.

That is the poorest excuse for a judge I have ever seen in many years. Gutless.

The judge was unbelievably inept and the two deputies should have been immediately fired and sent out of the courtroom on the spot. 12:42 hit the nail on the head when he spoke of the feeling of entitlement of some "deputies" of the law. They should have charges pressed against them. Thank goodness the poor defendent saw the idiots and spoke up. This display makes me wonder what other shenanigans go on all the time that we don't catch with this type of bozo! I've always tended to favor the defendents in a case, but this is way over the top!

POS cops and Judge!

Unbelievable! Even a layperson such as I knows that perusing at leisure & removing files from opposing counsel's folder is WRONG. And did you notice that the large deputy appeared to have a xerox in his hand when he returned? What was copied, and if not, why was it temporarily removed from the defense area?

Man, someone needs firing (judge, states attorney, deputies).

Kip,

Oh yeah. I see what you mean...Not.

Nothing there. Joe is an elected official, and very popular, even though many libs have tried to bring him down. He continues to do his job.

If you and other libs want unlimited abilities for illegals to come to, and live in the US, then change the freaking laws. If not, then let him do his job.

Gosh that reminds me of something that may happen in a municipal judges court I know, both what the cop did and the judge's inept actions regarding the situation.

Wow...that is pretty sh#*&y. Who does that? I liked when the judge remarked on the deputy's "leeway" regarding maintaining a secure environment. It's a good thing they stepped in before that piece of paper did anything crazy.
