Edit: Well, I've got the feel good story of the year. A lady left a message for me today saying that was her lost tortoise in the picture. I told Thomas who tracked her down and they went back to the scene of the Big Turtle Sighting. Couldn't fine the monster. But Thomas knew one the people that lived in the area so they checked in with that homeowner. Amazingly, he had seen the tortoise and picked it up. Result: Tortoise returned to its rightful owner.
Edit: Sheesh, we've now got Turtle-Gate going on. We've got four different people claiming the turtle. Developing . . . .

Speedo is used along with other animals for educational purposes. The owner has been looking for him since early Sunday morning. Must be brought home before the cold weather arrives and he is on a special diet too.

Whay fake? They can get much bigger than that one. Google it and find out more info before stating something is fake.
4:11, I think 3:23 (not me, by the way) is either offering a satirical "fake" rubber-stamp comment or is claiming fake insofar as the picture represents that outside of remote Pacific islands your best shot of finding one of these beasties is around Montague. I have a feeling that 3:23 knows there are such things as giant tortoises, and probably does not need to Google it.

I have talked to the person who has my tortoise Speedo.She is reluctant to return him as she has had 4 other people call to claim him.I can prove he is mine. okay, so a couple of years ago my brother in law found a turtle just like this one and brought it home, Joe Duty came out and took pics of the turtle and my daughter and it hit the front page of the messenger. Anyway, a lady showed up with pics of the turtle, claimed it, took it with her...I wonder if it is the same turtle...looks the same...if she can't keep up with it any better than that, she needs to let someone else have it.

yes, it looks like the same turtle that ms priss had a couple of years ago. I had forgotten about that. To all other who think it a fake. It is for real and pretty cool.
