It's official colors are blue and olive green according to it's website. Both colors are mentioned in it's school song which was written in 1925. Like virtually everyone else, however, it also uses white and black from time to time in it's athletic uniforms color schemes
The part about Tulane's colors is not odd. Everyone's internet is the name of a basketball team, which then makes the entire passage make sense.
