The statue shouldn't be there, but this isn't the right way to handle it. In these situations it's much more effective, not to mention hilarious, when the Church of Satan comes in and gets a Baphomet statue put up.

Not crashing into the Ten Commandments isn't one of the Commandments, so I don't see what the problem is.

What do you expect from the Arkansas version of Raging Moses?

Ironically, his will be gone for a while. Surely a felony based on value alone. And it was no accident.

Where's your God now, Moses?

The problem is that he broke at least one commandment, chipped one, and cracked a few others.

Not to mention he shook the foundation...of several major religions!

I mean, it's only Ten Commandments. Why do people need stone tablets to remember them? Seems pretty easy to me.

If he did this to a Muslim symbol you libs would be calling for his head!

So I guess he believes freedom is being able to commit murder, adultery theft or lie about others. I believe many groups will support him. Maybe some time in prison will influence his beliefs on "freedom".

@12:47 - Show me one governmental property that has a Muslim monument. The atheists on the other hand....

There are literally thousands of them in the Middle East, Malaysia, Northern Africa, Central Asia. It's common to have Islamic monuments on government property. Try again!

@2:15

You do understand that the Middle East, Northern Africa and Central Asia are not in the United States?

Rusty said...

IF you don't know the subject was the United States, then you have no grasp of context. And, I would venture to say wherever you see such an emblem is a theocracy, which the United States (as of know) is not.

If the GOP would ever stop trying to legislate their version of morality, they might not have to keep relying on gerrymandered districts and a (literally) dying base to maintain office.

Bear, your butt buddy Rusty didn't specify that it had to be US. Point being we are an historically Christian nation, it is common to mingle religious symbols just like in historically Muslim nations.

And what do those countries' constitutions say about the state and religion, you moron?

Perhaps 2:15 was making the point that the United States, a nation with a constitution declaring freedom of religion, wouldn't/shouldn't be emulating the habit of Muslim governments, ruled by Sharia Law. and refrain from posting religious text on government property.

Disclaimer: I don't give two spits if the Christian's 10 Commandments are posted on a governmental property other than it opens the door for every other religion to demand equal representation.

No where in the constitution is it mentioned that we are a Christian nation. What is mentioned is Freedom of Religion.
