Can't find a job selling insurance?

Not sure your source but I have a reliable one who says the same thing.

Well that was easy enough to find replacement. Oh wait they might interview few more just to make sure lmao

Tommy Maddox

Tommy's dad Wayne was very high up the corporate ladder for Allstate in Texas. Hence the insurance job.

He was also the "star" of the ill-fated XFL.

Went to LD Bell

Well, so much for Bridgeport's ATHLETIC program. It will be nothing but FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL from now on. Forget baseball, soccer, and girls sports just took a HUGE hit. But I bet we get to go to the PLAYOFFS!!!!

A girl at LD Bell slipped a couple of marihuana cigarettes into a pocket of my warm up jacket as my basketball team was leaving the court at LD Bell after a game. I gave the marihuana cigarettes to a friend of mine. Marihuana cigarettes are called joints in some circles as far as I know. That was ages before Tommy Maddox was Mr. Basketball for the state of Texas as a player at LD Bell.

Drafted first round by Broncos, even with a Guy named Elway on the roster.
Came out of college way to early, but still wound up with a decent career and some playoff runs.
Always seemed great in interviews and took the whole Vince McMahon / XFL thing serious enough to parlay it into an actual run in the NFL with Steelers and others.
If its true its awesome boon for that program.

1:32...Henson was football, football, football...how much worse could it get.

Bridgeport girls programs?!?!?!? The Sissies?

1:32PM. BISD is not large enough to have a separate AD and Head Football Coach. It is a pipe dream to think you would get an AD that is not coaching football. If you are really that concerned or dialed in about Bridgeport Athletics you would know this.

SMH at people already bagging on a new era and we haven't even got a real search yet.

Guy was a complete stud in high school. Parade AA in football, averaged like 30 in basketball, and had a 90+ mph fastball. Heard he was a complete douche, tho. So watching JJ Joe and Lamar completely destroy Bell in first round of playoffs was pretty funny. It was somewhere in neighborhood of 35-0.

So is it up to the school board to hire the new AD or does Bland do it on his own? If so, does he still ask Henson whom he should hire?

Anonymous said...

It is my understanding a committee was formed of 5 faculty, 5 parents of kids in the programs, and 1 community member. They will sort through the applications, perform interviews, and take a certain number recommendations for the board to consider.

But Bland hand picked the committee. It wouldn't hurt my feeling to be hiring a Bland's replacement either.

Has he coached anywhere?
Has he worked in a school?
Will he be the best candidate?
Should we hire him?

Rule: Every question USA have the same one word answer. Use Yes or No!

State Champion Pitching Coach - Grapevine HS
Asst. Football Grapevine HS
Local Guy
Great With Kids
Yes we should hire him

He would be a dumbass to come to the trash hole that's over populated with salt water wetbacks. Stay with Grapevine High seems to be a little more classy for sure and heck of lot more talent.
