Ads? Or Whataburger Genius?


So are all of these tweets from news outlets really just paid ads? Or does someone at Whataburger needs a massive promotion and a raise for coming up with the greatest free publicity campaign ever? (And the following tweets are just a tiny fraction of what has been published over the last 24 hours.)

I don't know man. I know some people that were flipping out over the egg thing. Whataburger is a pretty frickin' big deal in Texas.

I don't do twitter, or any other social media, and I don't eat that fast food trash. So ultimately I don't care, but it does leave me wondering what the hell is wrong with people like you that think this is important.

Just another byproduct of the 24-hour news cycle and the need to have the news sell ad revenue. You've got to have content to discuss, so you get either inane stories that have no worth, or talking heads yelling at each other and increasing divisiveness.
