Dallas Police Beating Video
First time impressions:
- Is there no audio?
- That's a bad bike rider not to be able to get away
- The chase ends at 3:02 and that's when the action starts
- As see lots of wailing on him but you can't see if he is resisting.
- A lot depends on where that baton was landing on the suspect's body
- Even a Civil Rights Guy like me is underwhelmed.

I think the audio is what makes it so shocking. I've been anxious to see this and was very underwhelmed. Let's see how pissed we'd be if we got to hear all the premeditation that went on before the beating. And I'd also love to see what went on when they got him out of camera's view.
These are the types of cops that give the whole bunch a bad name.

I get that there are "bad" cops but human nature says if you do something (like run from the cops for instance) that gets their adrenaline pumping then chances are when they catch you they may shoot you or hit you!!!!

I think you're right - if he'd been any kind of a rider, he'd have lost the fuzz in a heartbeat. Appears maybe he was having engine problems.
Not that it ever happened, but I coulda lost the cops with my little Yamaha enduro 100 back in the '70s - nothing near the machine this guy had.
not that bad could see what he was doing. u could see that they wer still trying to get his hands when his arm went up. dont run and u wont have that problem. black or white.

Not a "bad rider" but a very inexperienced rider. He clearly didn't know how to shift the bike. Was very unstable taking tight corners. I heard it reported all day on the radio that they officers "rammed" into his bike when he was just stopped and sitting there waiting for him. That is BS, he just couldn't get it going at the moment.
He had no buisness on a bike.
That wasn't an ass beating. They were playing patty-cake.
I saw more hitting in the 'Fag-Fighting' video.

1) Yes, bad rider. You can hear the bike rev up, yet he's going nowhere.
2) This is a really poor quality video.
3) The officer on the right struck the guy on the legs, which was obviously unnecessary since he was already on the ground.
4) I see nothing wrong with what the actual arresting officer did. Yes, there were a few punches to the ribs and/or kidneys, but then you see the guys left arm come up in the air which indicates that he was laying with his hands underneath him and the officer on the left did what was necessary to get the guy to release his hands so that he could be handcuffed.
5) With all the hype that the news casts had built up, I thought it was going to be a whole lot worse than that.

Why is it that criminals have missed Chris Rock's "educational video" How To Not Get Your Ass Kicked By The Police? If the thugs paid attention then, "Everybody knows, if the police have to come and get you they're bringing an ass-kicking with them." and that would solve all sorts of problems but would cut down the amount of on the job exercise police get while apprehending "runners."

That's it? After all the stupid hype from Channel 8 (and others?)? What a big "Bag O' Nothing"--to use someone's moniker! Channel 8 has been "pissin' theyselves" for over a WEEK about getting this video. Typical state of our present-day journalists.

Watch the chase closely and you and see the rider and his left foot moving back and forth around the kickstand or below the footpeg on the left side. I guarantee you that he has dope or something in that sock that he is trying to get out.
I saw more ass kicking in West Side Story than that...
His kickstand kept falling down, which kills the engine if in gear. He had to kick it back up to restart it.
I believe he got down when they told him to! Thats cooperating at that point. Officers ran alot of stop signs.

Yes, if they are bashed because of their sexuality (regardless of their orientation or that of their attacker) it is still a hate crime. And NO, it is not like black people calling each other the "N" word. Hate crimes must, by definition, involve actual violence not just words.
