- Awful suicide last night of a prominent Wise County man last night. I always thought it was weird how newspapers don't cover such things or report the names. I kind of understand now.
- A new TV action series called Chase was being filmed in West End in Dallas yesterday. With many of the scenes on rooftops, you'd have to think the actors were wondering why Dallas in the Summer was chosen.
- Ordered some new carpet for a couple of rooms last night. Sheesh. This home improvement is a beating.
- An Irving woman strangled her two young children a couple of days ago (the youngest one finally died this morning). Add her to the list of Darlie Routier, Dena Schlosser or Andrea Yates.
- I'm in a furniture store, select my purchase, the guy asks me how I wish to pay for it, I hand him my credit card and DL, and he spends the next five minutes at a computer terminal thinking I wanted to apply for store credit card. He was honestly confused, and apologized profusely once I pointed out that I didn't want one. (He didn't even suggest that I get one, or run down its benefits.)
- During Super Bowl week, ESPN will be broadcasting from downtown Fort Worth.
- Jimmy Johnson is going to be a contestant on Survivor?
- For as long as the oil spill went on, there really hasn't been much of it wash up on the beaches.
- Lindsay Lohan new book-in photo.
- Another Coppell mayor shocker: She rented a car and gave it to her daughter telling her it was a high school graduation present. She returned it one day before the murder/suicide.

Regarding the home improvement beating----welcome to married life! It never ends!
Barry, two words. Tile floor. Makes life much simpler. No more worries about pets, small children, or sloppy relatives. Throw rugs help in areas where softer footing is desired.
My Other Brother Darryl
Prayers uplifted for the family and friends of the Wise County man. Truly, we never can see the pain and anguish of another person. He was so talented His death is a loss that will haunt many of us.
The Irving mother is nothing like Darlie Routier, the Irving mother admitted to the crime so she won't serve more than a couple of years in a phyc ward. See, Darlie never admitted see was crazy for a 5 minute period like the Yates or Schlosser, so she had to go to jail.
Any parent can be driven crazy by their kids, but those who kill them deserve actual jail time, not tutu's and a couple of years of therapy. Send their asses to jail, just like they do the dads. When has a dad ever claimed insanity, would anyone believe a dad?
Today's pic.... Dang!
Any mother, sane or insane, who kills her child/children deserves the gas chamber immediately. Period!
If there is a Hell (which I believe there is) then those "mothers" will most definitely be there!
Mary, shut up. If you really care about the people you're praying for then pray in silence and then really go out and do something for them like mow their yard, wash their car or pay a utility bill.
9:15...you are an idiot!!!
I agree the mother who slaughters her kids should receive the death penalty...no excuses, no questions asked.
As for the Decatur suicide, I agree with 9:15. I get sick of people saying they're "praying" for you, which really means absolutely nothing to me. I've said it before...suicide is the most selfish act on the planet.
As for the home improvement, I figure you've only just begun. You chose marriage...I keep telling you folks it's a mistake but people keep right on doing it!
Girl today: even more grotesque than yesterday's. These chicks are idiots!
This is stupid, if you're not going to give the name of the person who died, then why even mentioned it?
9:20.. you have evidently never known anyone with severe depression and you obviously know nothing about mental illness. I hope you never have to suffer from such a horrible disease. Until you walk in a persons shoes you have no idea what torment they are experiencing.Your ignorance is showing and it's shameful!
9:20 - there are lots of folks who do not understand severe depression.
We have a lot of folks living among us carrying huge burdens.
And some are totally insensitive to them.
Is this Linda Lohand a waitress at a strip bar, truck stop or what cuz I just don't know her?
I completely agree with 9:26. Until you have lived another person's life you should refrain from judging their choices. Ignorance is not always bliss, often times it's rude and hurtful.
Sharing faith is not meaningless. Prayers are offered in silence. Acts come as they are needed. Whether prayers mean anything to you (9:15, 9:20), they do to many people. At this time, the friends and family are only feeling pain.
After you get past the balloons in the random girl pick, your eyes are mysteriously drawn to the crotch in the upper right hand corner!! Blech!
there is no way those are real. if you have any pics of her standing, i want to see the entire package.
btw.. you went about the marriage all wrong..
http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local-beat/Bride_Sets_Wedding_Date__Just_Needs_Groom_Dallas-Fort_Worth.html
re: 10:05, I had to zoom the page 400% to see the crotch...then "BLECH!" Barry, you scraped bottom when you found that random girl photo!!!!
lol
yea the newspapers may not cover the news or report the names of those who commit suicide - a choice they made themselves, but they won't hesitate to show a picture of a smashed up car with its occupants'
smashed up bodies laying everywhere - especially the rag that is the wc messenger and its little camera boy.
somebody doesn't have much experience spotting fake ones. They look real. Plus, they appear to match the rest of her shape, except for the smallish waist (relative to the rest of her). If she stood up, she would probably have an hourglass figure...with several hours of sand to spare.
And how is a girl, not doing anything in a photo, an idiot?
If you hand a clerk a credit card, why would he assume you didn't intend to use it to pay for your purchase?
So is the new bank in RAB gonna get finished now ?
8:55 is right.
10:05 Is that you Mzchief ? You ole crotch watcher you.
9:26 I have quite a lot of experience with depression and mental illnesses, actually, and I still maintain it's selfish. We all have problems in life and we all have difficult times, but we do our loved ones the utmost disservice when we choose the coward's way out of our problems. Just ask the family of a suicide victim. Selfish, selfish, selfish.
9:20
Maybe you don't believe in marriage and love BECAUSE you never tried it with the power of prayer. That fact alone makes you a perfect candidate for depression - which can lead to mental illness, etc. Since prayer "means absolutely nothing to you" I will refrain from suggesting it. BUT - Buddy - Go get some help - you are obviously crying out for it.
What a bunch of hypocrites.
Yes suicide is a horribly selfish act that only affects those left behind, but don;t say we have to walk in their shoes.
That is such a loded arguement, yes, I feel horrible for the family left behind, but feeling sorry for the individual is insane.
Answer this, why are we not making the same arguement for the mothers who say it is to much and try(or do) to kill their kids? We didn't walk in their shoes.
And BG, please stop posting about the Coppell mayor, that story has been beaten to no end, please stop.
PS 9:20 - My prayers go out to the family and friends he left behind. It's going to be a long road ahead. May God ease your pain and bring you to a place of acceptance and healing. Don't dwell in the whys - it will only drive you crazy. Honor him by living your life to the fullest.
It's just starting. You are married a couple of weeks and already painting, buying furniture, new carpet (should be tile), redecorating in general. Next the family truckster will have to go and she will want an Escalade or maybe a little beamer.
Waiting for the announcement of a pool in the backyard. You may have to start selling ads on here.
9:26 - you can boast of having experience with such things, but you will KNOW the pain yourself, if it ever happens in your family. I know from personal experience.
If you are some kind of professional, I hope I never run into you.
suicide = gutless and selfish
plain and simple
To Mary & milo...
You really should read and better understand the Big Book of Myths and Fables before you broadcast, to people in the blogisphere, your self ordained piety.
According to much of chapter 6 of Mathew in the Big Book of Myths and Fables prayer is to be done in PRIVATE especially when it is done so as an act of charity/kindness...
6:1 "Be careful that you don't do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven."
6:2 "Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don't sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most assuredly I tell you, they have received their reward."
6:3 "But when you do merciful deeds, don't let your left hand know what your right hand does,"
6:4 "so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."
6:5 "When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most assuredly, I tell you, they have received their reward.
6:6 "But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."
When ever some grandstanding Christian espouses their heartfelt sympathy for someone by publicly declaring their offering of prays, especially as a comment on a blog, I can smell their hypocrisy from nearly a 1,000 miles. Claiming they are "sharing faith" is just a shabby attempt to cover their hypocrisy and openly forcing their religious beliefs on to the general public.
Knock yourself out coming up with a retort. I may return to continue this discussion, however, if the rain/lightening should clear up I will be back on the beach having fun in the sun on an 80 degree day.
To Barry...
Carpeting is filthy. Who in their right mind, attaches to the floor, something they walk on that they cannot properly clean? You should have installed hardwood floors or slate, travertine or marble tile. Stay away from that garbage ceramic beige tile used by most builders.
12:18...I am speaking from personal experience as well. I have suffered the loss of a loved one due to suicide and I personally deal with depression everyday as does several members of my family. It's an insidious disease and horrible to see loved ones struggle with this illness. Here is a surprise for you... some of the people who commit suicide are thinking of their loved ones. In their mind they truly believe that their family would be better off without having to deal with the depressed person. They are not rational when they decide to end the pain. If you personally have never had this disease then you truly cannot understand what this disease does to your thought processes. No, I am not a professional, I am a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece and friend to many and I wouldn't be surprised if you knew me or one of my many loved ones and you would never know by looking at me or speaking with me that I have this disease. We are very good at acting like everything is ok but eventually it starts to wear you down both physically and mentally and you reach a point that you just can't put on the happy face anymore. I am not ashamed of my illness and I am always ready to talk to anyone at anytime about my experiences.
Yeah 12:19 - those will be the words spoken to your family if you decide to take your life.
Plain and simple.
"Claiming they are "sharing faith" is just a shabby attempt to cover their hypocrisy and openly forcing their religious beliefs on to the general public."
Isn't that what you are doing with this comment?
We are all hypocrits Mzchief - you quoting scripture just proves the point - even atheists believe in God.
Prayer comforts those who believe. The family of the deceased are believers. I really don't think they are concerned about HOW people are praying. They are just glad we are.
Chief..I have known an abundance of people in their right mind that had carpet in their home...just sayin'!
Also, making an anonymous post on a blog offering prayer to those who are grieving is not quite the same as what is written in Mathew chapter 6. I understand Mary and Milo's comments were not anonymous but others were and I really did not see any hypocrisy in either comment. Sure, I'll agree it is done for all men to see but in this instance it seems harmless and I am not sure "they have received their reward"--(We have no way of knowing if they gave prayers in private as well, or personally reached out to the family.) I assume most who send prayers out in this manner are just repeating behavior they have grown up with and probably feel genuinely sympathetic as do you or I. However, the preachers who come down from their pulpits and use this as an example, now that is another story, and to me are the real hypocrites.
I agree with 99% of your posts on religion, as I to am agnostic, but I do think you are wrong on this one and are really just showing your disdain for those of faith. We have no way of knowing what is in another person's heart, are they are a hypocrite simply because they are of a certain faith and choose to walk that path boldly? I am not so sure, and I choose to give all people the benefit of the doubt. Society tends to pick on religous people as hypocrites, when anyone can be a hypocrite, unless of course you stand for nothing (see Obama).
Amen to MzChief once again. My sentiments exactly. I am 9:20 and that was basically my point about the prayer. I AM a health care professional, as a matter of fact, have cared for a number of suicidal attempts, and still think it's the coward's way out.
As for marriage, done it twice and am now waaaay happier than I ever was when I was married. Not all it's cracked up to be!!! But single life is fantastic...wish I'd done it much sooner in life.
Wow, need to get my Johnson ready and then go motorboating.
The young lady in today's pic must be smuggling at least 44 monkeys.
Double Fake Curious George
I think Mzchief is the Antichrist.
Mzchief, I dont understand why you have a problem with praying for others during times of trouble. How would you comfort a friend? Suicide is an act that leaves family and friends hurting. If they cant turn to God, who should they turn to? YOU?
wHAT ABOUT WHEN TWO OR THREE COME TOGETHER IN PRAYER. A CHORD THAT WON'T BE BROKEN?
Depression is sometimes unrealistic expectations.
Expectations are luxories you cannot afford or ...
3:01 If that's the case 3:01, then "THE BIBLE" Christians live their lives through is an Antichrist manual.
i know who mizchief is now, she is that girl on "Overboard".
3:46
What the hell are you talking about?
2:32
Those would be snow monkeys. I have 'xperience in this area.
Double Fake Nolan Ryan
3:36...unrealistic expectations, you have got to be kidding me!
This turned into the dumbest discussion on the blog in a long time. My comment included
"•Awful suicide last night of a prominent Wise County man last night. I always thought it was weird how newspapers don't cover such things or report the names. I kind of understand now."
It's kind of odd that you mention it, because they splashed my father and brother's photo and name all over the front page of both local papers...
Mzchief, I completely agree with your sentiments. My only problem is that your continual calling it the big book of myths and fables is a bit arrogant on your part. If you wish everyone to view your opinions and be open minded then you, in return, need to be open minded and respect their opinions. I'm sure on a daily basis you are respectful of others opinions but I just think making fun of someone's beliefs is just a little hypocritical.
Suicide is death. It doesn't matter how a person died. Death is Death. Same result. Period.
My uncle was a good man.
@ 1:29
I appreciate your thoughtful comment and insight.
2:03 - thank you for you comments. I appreciate that even though you are agnostic, you realize and acknowledge that others have a right to a different belief system than you.
When a Christian person offers that they "will pray for you" that is their way of offering comfort to someone. To me, it says, "I care about you, and although there is not much I can do for you right now, I can go to my Heavenly and ask that He intervene and give you comfort and peace in this time." As a Christian, when someone offers to pray for me, I don't take that lightly and as some hypocritical statement. Those words offer me peace and hope. It really does mean a lot to me. If you are not a Christian, I know what I am saying is foreign to you and doesn't seem to make much sense. But, once you experience it, you know exactly what I am talking about.
I do know that if someone is going through troubles, in addition to offering prayer, you need to offer yourself; mow their lawn, take them some dinner, taxi their children if they need help in that way.
10:03 I agree with your comment.
I pray for my family everyday, why wouldnt I want to pray for my friends when they need comfort?
So who was it that comitted suicide?
Perfect ending to the conversation 10:03. I think that is what 1:50 was trying to say too. Prayer is comforting for those who believe in the power of prayer. I know the family. They are thankful for all the prayers. They will need many more to help them through this difficult time.
11:12 look at the obits in the update.
9:17, evidently you haven't been on this blog long. Mzchief is not respectful of anyone else's opinions beyond her own.
Mzchief... your hypocracy shows in the fact you even quoted the Bible. If you don't believe in the Word of God, then don't be quoting it!!! either to support or refute!! To you it is a book of "myth and fables"....so why in the world would you feel it necesssary to refute anything in it! I wouldn't think you'd feel the need to refute any other "fictional" book, unless you feel somehow threatened by it. YOU will not change the mind of any Christian believer...no matter what you say or do, because YOU are totally insignificant compared to Jesus Christ.
To anonymous 1:50...
I am not forcing my religious beliefs on anyone by pointing out the inaccuracies of the bogus justification someone spouts in an attempt force their religious beliefs on the general public.
Perhaps in your world but not in the real world is everyone a hypocrite. It is impossible for an atheist to believe in God since an atheist is a person who does not believe in God. I quoted text from the Christian Big Book of Myths and Fables to prove that the Christian was unaware of their own faith's stance on prayer.
I have always believed prayer comforts and soothes the heart and soul of everyone who believes in prayer. However, if some random commentator, on a blog, announcing they are praying for someone who has endured a lose, truly comforts those who are grieving, then their grief is very shallow and perhaps more shallow than the pretenda-piety of the pompous prayer.
Just an observation...You really are none too bright.

They MAY have been sane when they installed the carpeting but for how long did they remain sane if they tried to keep it clean?...*:) Carpeting is so nasty, people with asthma and allergies are encouraged, by their doctors, to rip it out and install hard surface floor coverings.
Matthew clearly states that praying in public assures that those prayers are not rewarded by God. According to Matthew, prayers offered in public are only rewarded the public. In other words, people who pray in public are doing it for public adoration and in an attempt to display their presumed piety which according to Matthew, makes them a hypocrite.
**************************
To anonymous 3:01...
More than likely, you are not alone in your belief. Hey, there are MILLIONS of people who live quite happily, being IGNORANT.
**************************
To anonymous 3:12...
Since I frequently pray for friends, strangers and our leaders, I have no problem praying for a friend who is suffering, enduring difficult times or unhappy. However, I do have a problem with people publicly proclaiming they are praying for people. If you know the person and feel compelled to inform them of your prayers, do so in PRIVATE. If you do not know the person and are Jewish or Christian then, PRIVATELY, as instructed by Matthew, in chapter 6 of The Big Book of Myths and Fables.
***************************
To anonymous 3:46...
Excellent point.
***************************
To anonymous 9:17...
I show no greater disrespect for The Big Book of Myths and Fables than the majority of Christians who claim to believe in the Big Book of Myths and Fables who are absolutely clueless to the content, or worse, bastardize the content for their own purposes. I know the history of the Big Book of Myths and Fables and KNOW the content, especially that within The New Testament has been cherry picked and adulterated throughout history. You do realize, for the most part, the Jews, who wrote, what the Christians ripped off and renamed The Old Testament, have for centuries, declared the writing to be allegorical for the purpose of providing parables by which to live, right?
********************************
To anonymous 10:01...
Excellent point. I have never understood people attributing greater meaning or greater grief depending on the method by which a loved one becomes dead.
12:37 The Holy Bible old and new testamont is all about redemption through Jesus Christ our lord. God provides all who believe eternal salvation and everlasting life. It is a gift to man who has free will to accept it or reject it.
If you KNOW the content, you know this; however, you have to become like a child to believe and accept God's gift. It is grace not works.
Mz-Contradictor,
You have posted in the past that you do not believe prayer works because God doesn't answer prayers......so........shut up.....and quit picking apart everybody's comments when they aren't in agreement with you.
You are a legend in your own mind.
Hey Mz. Good job on the 12:37 post. You really know how to 'Trick F$#@' people into thinking you have intelligence.
To anonymous 3:07...
You are a perfect example of why I have so very little respect for ignorant people who claim to be Christians. The Old Testament of the Big Book of Myths and Fables was written by Jews and is called the Tenakh. Nowhere in the Tenakh, the Jewish Big Book of Myths and Fables does it mention salvation through anyone much less the Christian mythical martyr and demi-god, Jesus. You being ignorant of the faith you claim to believe in makes you little more than a sheep. Perhaps, that is why a church's congregation is frequently referred to as a "flock" and the guy who fleeces them as a shepherd. Learn the FACTS about your religion and I MIGHT have some respect for your "faith."
*****************************
To anonymous 3:11...
I have NEVER said prayer does not work. I have ALWAYS said prayer is not meant to change God but is meant to change the person who prays. You really need to get your facts straight prior to accusing someone of anything. I am fairly certain there is SOMETHING in The Big Book of Myths and Fables that commands you to NOT "bare false witness."
Pay attention and you MIGHT not look like a total moron.
******************************
To anonymous 3:14...
I am not surprised you believe someone proving they have intelligence is some sort of magical "trick." Since the dawn of human kind, ignorant people have explained things they were incapable of comprehending as being some sort of "trick."
OMG, how funny that no one claiming to be a Christian on here said one thing about the actual verses Mzchief pointed out about praying. Don’t you people believe your bible? A simple yes Mzchief, you are correct about the verses was no where to be seen from any of you. Instead you spewed monkey snot in every other direction avoiding the truth. Strange. Guess you guys just pick and choose what you want to live by out of that big book.
Mzchief 3:46 here. Thanks . Made sense to me. Guess it was over their heads. LOL
If Mzchief was such an expert on the bible, one would think she could at least spell "Matthew" correctly?
3:54 Beginning in the first book of the Holy Bible, God has a plan of redemption for all who will accept by faith his gift of salvation. God's creation is enough for most to understand there is a God of love. Jesus is my Shepherd and I find peace being in his care. It must be difficult to understand with eyes closed a God who loves us as individuals, even when we fall short of being perfect.
I think the random girl's waist is photoshopped smaller. No way that's a legit waist with those boobies... She would topple over and her spine would snap in real life under the weight of those things!
MzTwist
.....uh...you never proved you have intelligence. That's the point....you think you do, but you do not. All you have is an over inflated ego.
In the words of an obscure self proclaimed blog celebrity pop-tard:
JEALOUSY is a disease. I hope you get well SOON.
To anonymous 6:43...
All you have as rebuttal is to comment on my TYPO of the name Matthew in my first comment. Clearly, based on my other comments wherein I CORRECTLY spelled/typed the name Matthew, I know how to correctly spell the name Matthew. Incidentally, as long as you are discussing the "correct" spelling of the biblical name Matthew, to be PERFECTLY correct, the Hebraic spelling of Matthew is Mattaniah which, if you believe the Big Book of Myths and Fables is the CORRECT spelling. Here is a fun fact for you Christian wannabes. There is NO letter "J" in Hebrew, which is the language in which the majority of the Tanakh/Old Testament is written (a wee tiny bit is written in Aramaic), thus, ALL names, attributed to the Big Book of Myths and Fables beginning with the letter "J" are made up names. One more fun fact about "Biblical" names. The New Testament was originally written in Greek. The name "Jesus" is nowhere in the original text. The Greek name of the mythical martyr is "IESOUS" and pronounced "yeah-sooce." When the Big Book of Myths and Fables was translated, it was known it would be read and taught to ignorant people, thus the need to bastardize the name of the mythical martyr. You are aware, until the 1500's it was against the law and considered heretical for a layperson to own and read a Bible and could result in their being burned to death along with their "illegal" Bible, right. Perhaps, that is part of the reason Christians are so ignorant of their own religion.
Thank you for playing and proving, petty morons like you have NOTHING of substance to add to the discussion.
******************************
To anonymous 7:56...
Based on your ignorance of the content of the Big Book of Myths and Fables, obviously, you failed Sunday School/Bible study/Catechism or never bothered to attend. I do find it hysterically funny but typical of ignorant Christians to declare that God's intention is known within Genesis. You do realize, the myth that the world was created in 6 days is within Genesis and it has been more than proved that it took BILLIONS of YEARS of years for just Earth to have land and a couple of more BILLION YEARS for humans to inhabit Earth. Genesis is also where your "loving" God decides to forever make ALL women suffer through horrific pain during childbirth for making sexy time with Adam.
Educate yourself on your own religion and you will see, it is the duty of the faithful to love God. Nowhere does it say God loves and cares for humans. If you have REAL faith in God, that faith and love of God is sufficient to soothe the heart and soul. TRUE love of God is enough and does not require gifts and the return of love from God. Love is a human emotion. God being a god is incapable of petty human emotions. If you need to believe God loves you to believe in God then you do NOT have faith in God and that goes a long way to explaining why you sooooooo believe in your made up, demi-god, Jesus.
You people who do not KNOW the content, history and purpose of the parables of the book you continually thump are the reason INTELLIGENT people laugh at you and seek salvation from GOD rather than your man made, mythical martyr and your Santa God.
********************************
No doubt, I have taught you two morons more about the FACTS of the Big Book of Myths and Fables than anyone else.
YOU'RE WELCOME!
mzchief - thanks for writing such long posts. It tells me to ignore, so I do!
God has already SENT Salvation to this world, Mzchief. Christians HAVE it and need not "seek" it as you do. Jesus Christ is our salvation and you hold no candle to Him..... all your blatherings are simply that. Laugh away at us all you wish now because we know who will have the last laugh. As I have said before, you will NEVER change the mind of even one true Christian because you are completely insignificant to our Lord and Savior!
Mzchief, I dont mean to be rude. I dont understand, so please explain. You say that you do believe in God, that Jesus died on the cross to wash away our sins, you believe in the power of prayer (but only in private) and you do believe in the Ten Commandments. So why do you call the Bible the Big Book of Myths and Fables. How do you teach others about Jesus if you say the Bible is a joke?
To anonymous 10:35...
I do not seek salvation nor do I believe there is a need for "salvation." Having faith in God is not about having a better life after you die, having faith in God is about having a better life while you live. You go ahead and believe in your myths and fables and continue to worship your mythical martyr, demi-god, Jesus and I will continue to receive comfort and guidance from my faith in God.
You are correct, most Christians are so eaten up with ignorance and clasp so tightly their, rarely read and more frequently misunderstood, Big Book of Myths and Fables that they will NEVER leave the Dark Ages and seek knowledge and obtain TRUE faith in God.
**************************
To anonymous 10:47...
Somewhere you got lost. I believe in God but I do NOT believe in God as described by Christians. I most certainly do NOT believe in the Christian, mythical martyr, Jesus whom the Christians have elevated to a demi-god nor do I believe any of the whoha and hocus pocus attributed to Jesus. I do not believe in the Ten Commandments as anything but parables as a means to live an honest and good life. Keep in mind, the Ten Commandments were ripped-off from the Babylonians. I prefer, the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi written in approximately 1790 BCE and from which the condensed Big Book of Myths and Fables version was ripped-off.
Mzchief...
You are wasting your time. These people still believe in a religion that was conceived when humans still thought the earth was flat and the sky was a dome over their heads. They have no clue that people have always used myth and metaphor to speak of The Ultimate Reality, or that many of the myths, of different traditions, are quite similar to their own. To them, THEIR myths are superior and "true"....I love it that you still try...You have more patience than I do!
"I prefer, the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi written in approximately 1790 BCE"
Looks like you are the one stuck in time, MzMessiah.
and you said:
"Somewhere you got lost."
I believe it is you who are lost.

Command 1:
I am the Lord your God; you shall have no Gods besides me.
MzMessiah, hate to break it to you, but you have created your own god.
You do not worship the same God as Christians. Oh, wait. You don't believe in the 10 Commandments. Nevermind.
"You do realize, the myth that the world was created in 6 days is within Genesis and it has been more than proved that it took BILLIONS of YEARS of years for just Earth to have land and a couple of more BILLION YEARS for humans to inhabit Earth."
One can still be a Christian and believe that God didn't spend 6 days literally on creatng the Earth. Why not just believe the Earth was created from nothing by God and leave the rest to the scientists to determine how old the world it?
You are going out on a limb saying the Bible is wrong when it really doesn't matter.
MzC - you are so dumb its funny.
If anyone brings an accusation of any crime before the elders, and does not prove what he has charged, he shall, if it be a capital offense charged, be put to death.
.'
You failed to prove the Jesus was a 'mythical martyr' so shouldn't you be put to death now by your own beliefs and Hammurabi beliefs???
Looks like another big win for MzChief.
MzChief proved she knows your Bible better than you dumbass Christians. You folks who just call names and don't give any facts are the biggest idiots. You stink of jealousy 12:59.
MzChief hands out the best ass whoopins.
Thanks for the show, MzChief.
What have you been smoking 1:18? Anus-of-mzchief? You got your head pretty far up there.
" The God we have is the God we are capable of having"
MzChief
The name Babylon comes from a time in history where Babylonians destroyed Jersulalem. They also exiled the Jewish people to Babylon. Babylon is nothing more than a worldly power that persecutes Christians.
Are you a verbal persecutor of Christians?
MzChief you told 10:47
"I believe in God but I do NOT believe in God as described by Christians."
If you are a follower of the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi, shouldn't you be praying to the god Shamash or possibly Marduk?
You just thought you dun relly good in that thar World Religion 101 class, huh?
The more sense Mzchief makes the crazier and less sense you haters make. It's fun to watch you haters go bat guano insane.
2:02, are you kidding? Can't you tell Mzchief is a verbal persecutor of Christians? She's been attacking Christians on here for years. Very offensive!
Well, 4:14, seems like all you do is suck hind tit! You can't get into the debate because you have absolutely no sense of your own...so what kind of credibility do you think you have that others need to pay attention to!? huh? There are many intelligent people debating on this issue...some more than debating...more like slinging snot (especially mzchief), but you... well...you just sit and watch, then make some dumb a$$ remark like you did! One word for you: I D I O T !
6:18 - Talk about slinging snot, you're doing a damned good of pumping it out of every oozing orifice. You sure as hell didn't add anything to the debate all you did was bitch about MZ and people who agree with MZ. From the looks of things, MZ is the only one throwing down facts to back up her opinion.
You're a lame joke. Go back to your crack pipe or take a double dose of your estrogen pills and sit your fat ass on your sofa so you can get back to watching Dancing With The Stars.
7:59, hahahaa... good try, MORON! If you are going to "dish" it, then you better be able to take it. YOU started the insults here...so you just got yourself NAILED to the wall for it by 6::18!LMAO!! and once again, proved yourself to be an I D I O T! enjoying that hind tit?
Response from 7:56 God tells us in the Holy Bible a day is like a thousand years, so I believe God did not have a clock counting down 24 hours when he made the stars, planets, fish, birds, and man in his own image. Many Christians see no problem with science and God's creation. The first sin was not about Adam and Eve having sex. Adam was to work to eat and Eve was to give birth. God had a plan in the beginning to send his son to die on the cross to give us eternal life.
I believe anyone can know God through his marvelous creation, even if they have never read God's word or heard the plan of salvation.
Some thoughts about why you attack Christians: the opposite of hate is not love. The opposite of hate is indifference. To me, the Holy Spirit is still knocking on your heart to come in and you are still fighting back. I've known people fight back until almost death before they find salvation.
Please don't call people mormons!
I am the old anon 9:17 Mz. Yes, anyone can tell your education is greater than that of the majority of the people in wise but the entire point of my post was that in order for you to get ANYONE to consider that your opinion may be correct, which I am in the same boat with you on your comments, it's a bit helpful to not start out by informing their opinion is wrong. You can influence more people by presenting the arguments in a way that lets them realize their error than saying they are wrong.
Good point 2:11.
Ever notice how MzC disappears after she is confronted with TRUTH?
