Baylor, I'm About Done With Ya

27-0. And it wasn't that close. I refuse to go through this again. Year after year. Loss after loss.

I sat in the 1981 Cotton Bowl with my brother as Baylor played Alabama after winning the SWC. If I had had an idea that the moment would be the high point for the next 26 years, I probably would have put my Baylor pennant in the trash and walked away forever.

I've sort of adopted Oklahoma over the last 10 years. I think I'll seek full custody.

Edit: I forgot to mention that general admission end zone seats were $50. You gotta be kidding.

Edit: I counted 68 games involving Division I schools yesterday. Only one other team (Mississippi State) failed to score a single point.

I'm beginning to think the TCU football program might be for real. Next week they go to Austin to try on your "evil empire."

Here is a link to some photos from the game. Enjoy! :)

Nah, stick with them. Losing 27-0 to TCU is not as shameful as most people think it is. I think TCU will prove that point going forward this year.

Those are good. I've put the link here.

I've been paying to attend TCU football games and sitting in the end zones or unreserved spots for the last fifteen years or so. Would drop about 300 bucks a year in total, on $20 tickets for me and a few kids, some snacks, parking, etc. for a handful of games. TCU was sometimes pretty bad, and sometimes pretty good, through all of those years. Even when good, lots of empty seats, even for "big" games. But I figured it was still worth it, and a good value compared to other things. Very few games of much importance, but even so I kept going. When I heard about the $50 jacked up tickets, it was over for me, and I will never, ever go to another TCU game. No more. It was a good crowd, but there were plenty of empty seats you could see on the edges, in the zones, etc. TCU's decision that my steady $300 or so per year was not good enough anymore will cost them that much per year going forward.

Awesome photos. I am NO sports guru but just from the photos it looks like Baylor was out muscled. WHAT do they feed the Frogs? The Frogs have muscles on their muscles, especially #89.

Come on over to OU!

Good people, good school and a great football team!

Plus, you will get to enjoy beating the evil empire a lot more than you will with Baylor.

OMG I thought my day couldn't get any worst but when my alma mater (Mississippi State) is mentioned in a blog run by a midget attorney in podunk Texas who is now going to cheer for OU. Oh Lord please strike down thy wrath upon the coaches and bring back my team to mediocrity.

Barry, stick with Baylor. This may be the year that they can beat both the Evil Empire and win their rivalry game against the Aggys.

Don't become a fan of the "land thieves"...geez. I know you defend criminals during the week, but there's no reason to cheer for them on the weekends too. Sick 'Em Bears!

End Zone GA is $20.

Barry, where were you buying your tickets?

in regards to the tcu sign bragging about beating the big 12's : whenever you get too big for your britches, you usually get the sh*t kicked out of you.
