As I jogged outside tonight, it occurred to me that it was almost three years to the day that I complete tore my Achilles tendon. (I was playing basketball with my fifth ex-wife who had made the outrageous claim that she still was her high school's all time leading basketball scorer - a claim that made more sense once I realized she was about 20 years old).
Anyway, two days later I went under the knife for the first time in my life. Three Two months later I was back on the treadmill. And now I don't have any remnants of the injury. Shout out to Dr. John Riberio of Decatur for some fine work.
