Channel 8 reports Terrell Owens hospitalized due to attempted suicide.
Edit: Rebecca Lopez of Channel 8 was on The Ticket a second ago and reported that she had obtained a copy of the police report. She said that Owens had a prescription for 40 pain killers that he had filled last week. Up until yesterday he had only taken 5 of the pills. A female with Owens yesterday indicated that he had been "depressed" and when she saw him take two of the painkillers she tried to stop him and then learned the prescription bottle was empty. She called 911 and paramedics arrived who tried to induce vomiting. They asked Owens if he had tried to "hurt himself" to which he replied "yes". Developing...

Channel 5 said it was a severe reaction to pain medication he had been prescribed due to surgery on his broken finger and that he would be playing in the Philly game in 2 weeks.

I think I would have a severe reaction also if I had taken the whole bottle.
My bad...all the channels are saying it was an attempted suicide now. Lovely role model, isn't he?

How fortunate I feel to not be in the public eye. Having everyone in Decatur know my business is enough for me.
Just cannot understand these folks with God given talents who cannot cope with society.
Once they get a little change, it is nutso city. Where are his managers, advisors, counselors, family?
He is not the first to go over the edge, i.e., rodman, perry, etc. Anything in common with these folks?
Maybe some "innocent" gang banger" will take him out instead , on I-20 !
