Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

It's the 10 year anniversary of Dez Bryant telling then Cowboys PR Director Rich Dalrymple to, uh, rectify a situation. Video.

  • A surprise restaurant death on the Wise County courthouse square.

  • You knew this was coming.

    • Let's see how that earlier promise for free defense representation works out.

  • Oh, my.

  • The U.S. has now murdered 76 people without a war being declared or a trial being held. Six more people were killed over the weekend.

  • Arrested? It doesn't work that way.  Free speech means society having to tolerate offensive and vile comments.  Video of the incident.

  • Murder prosecutions in Texas against officers for deaths caused while on duty have had a rough week.
    • Austin: They are going to drop the charges in exchange for letting  him teach how to react?

    • San Antonio:  It took the jury less than two hours of deliberations after this "month long" trial.

  • Trumpisms from yesterday:
  • Over the weekend, the conspiracy nutjobs jumped all over a capitol police officer by accusing her of planting a pipe bomb right before their Insurrection on January 6th. Now, the source of it all is walking it back.

    • Here's the original post that linked to a story saying the officer, who they named, was guilty because her "gait" was a "95% match" to the person seen in video surveillance. I hope she sues them into oblivion.

  • Since it the responsibility of almost all of Texas county-wide political candidates to file with either the local Republican or Democratic party,  those party officials should have a constantly update website telling us who has filed to run for office.  But it is pretty rare to see it.
