- I thought it was pretty cool when I heard that Paradise and Boyd would face each other in the volleyball playoffs (in Chico) for the right to advance in the state playoffs. But I accidentally ended up being enthralled last night by the point by point update from the Messenger. Boyd won the first two sets and looked to be on their way to a three set sweep. Then Paradise shockingly won the next two sets, and was leading 13-9 in the final set (first one to 15) when Boyd went on a six point run to win 15-13. Good stuff.
