They also likely hate Romney, Gingrich, and Paul for not being tough enough on homosexuals.
In fact, I suspect they could probably find plenty to hate with Perry and Bachmann, too.
Santorum... Okay, that might be stretching it.
However, old Fred Phelps is a DEMOCRAT who has run for governor of Kansas as a Democrat a few times. He was a (pro-)civil rights attorney back in the day.
I don't know why Houston didn't pull a kid out of the stands and a loofah out of the field-goal pad and do a Penn State "Shower dance" to celebrate the first Cougar touchdown.....while the U of H band played "Bad" by Michael Jackson.
So? What difference does it make to you or anyone else what she's for? I take the Ron Paul approach and let folks live in peace. Their business is none of mine.
With your, and apparently Ron paul's, logic we should just ignore the crazy westboro Baptist folks. The "Live and let live" is a lazy and worthless way off life. It's illogical. If you let immoral pieces of crap "just live their life" they will make sure they will make their business your business...whether you want it shoved down your throat or not.
Ah...katydid, God doesn't hate you. He loves you as much as the next guy. (No pun intended) He just wishes we all didn't have the "do whatever we want" lifestyle.
@10:36: For better or worse, anyone who thinks I have a "do whatever I want" lifestyle would be woefully disappointed to actually sit and watch me for 24 hours. Not to mention bored to tears...
Where in Christianity is hate-mongering an involved practice? What are Fred Phelps and the WBC afraid of anyhow? Rainbows? Unicorns? A flaming pink queer apocalypse? I attempted to address this with a portrait of the good reverend on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/03/fred-phelps-and-westboro-baptist-church.html Drop in and let me know what you think!

The saddest part about these idiots is that there are people who don't have the intellect to distinguish these morons from Christians.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Katydid is "pro-homo".
Just a shot in the dark.

Book of Santa 3:4
Do not ye be stupid, lest ye look really stupid.
@6:55: Not really. I regularly picket funerals with signs that say, "God Hates Me."
All that freedom is pretty scary sometimes..

7:50,
Go wash the dishes. You've exceeded your computer time allowed by your husband.
@7:50....if I have to explain it you probably wouldn't understand.

I think the Westboro folks are against getting it shoved down throats too..
