Help me out here, Barrister. So you have a problem with the listing by name of those charged with DWI. How is this different from your previous post of the An Another winners? Charged but not found guilty in both cases. Pick and choose?

District Attorneys can apparently get away with saying almost anything about a defendant in public, without the benefit of proof, much less an actual conviction. Libel/slander laws need to apply here.

This is no different than countless other crimes that get listed with the arrested party. People are throwing a fit about it because it is DWI and BG (and numerous other people here) approve of DWI
If my count is correct then 22 of the 31 people on the list have Spanish surnames. Someone is going to notice.

Doesn't the list say 'alleged' drunk drivers? And aren't arrests public records?
Public shaming? Maybe.
Accountability? Definitely.
A newspaperman friend used to publish the weekly police blotter, including DWIs, after his college age daughter was nearly killed and was in a coma for four days (after being hit by a drunk driver). My guess is that it made lots of folks think twice about their responsibilities before getting behind the wheel in that town.

Your right, BG didnt do much of anything as a DA, except dismiss cases. His defense attorney style proved his prosecutor attempts were no good. All that was there was a decent state and local funded salary to fund his future client list.
