It was
posted around 9:45 a.m. so it was obviously taken before that.
But nothing is as goofy as a reporter "
live tweeting" the event.
Edit: Wow. Look at this photo posted around 10:15 a.m. (those are my badly drawn red arrows to show the crowd in the back.)

Is it mostly Messcins looking for that free handout?
...as the crowd slowly waddles towards the door.
That's just pathetic.
I don't get it.....They are waiting to eat a hamburger?? I would not wait in a line that long for nothing, absolutely nothing!
And this would be important to whom?
Are any of the cheerleaders?
1) Prime example of media over-hyping something that ain't such a big deal.
2) Pretty sad when a fast food joint opening is on the frigging news. Pitiful.
P.S. Whataburger blows In-N-Out away as far as fast food burgers go. Not even close.
looks like phat ho burger
Never heard of them
I love their burgers but lets get real it is a burger.
Must be a Yankee chain
This is what it's come to now...the opening of a Cali burger joint is the big news event of the day
I read the comments from the story that was linked in today's random thoughts. Several people mentioned the great service. How great can it be at a fast food place?
And somebody in the S-T story mentioned the real potatoes that they cut right in front of you. Is there some method of making french fried taters (mmmmmm hmmmmmm - mustard!) that doesn't involve real potatoes?
in and out burgers are the best. they use fresh ingredients (e.g. fresh cut potatoes for fries). they also treat their employees well. f whataburger.
One will be opening on W. 7th street in Fort Worth in the near future. I'll get one, but I won't stand in line. They make their on french fries. They get their meat fresh from a west Texas ranch. It is never frozen and has no additives. They bake their on buns too. Dang I made myself hungry, I may have to drive to Frisco today.
They all look like they need to be in the gym, not a fast food burger line! And the news coverage?? Ridiculous.
They all look like they could use another burger.
Big Ed
Who cares how the employees are treated? Just make my frigging burger and don't spit on it, flunky.
Too funny.
I agree they are nothing special, I prefer Whataburger. They put thousand island dressing on the burgers and the fries have a funny texture.
I think I'll not eat anything that's associated with the Phrase In/out.
Not sure what's worse - the crowd or the free advertising they get from news media.
Shouldn't it be called, Mostly Out and Then In?
Can't blame the news outlets on this, blame the hundreds of people standing in line for a burger creating the news.
How odd. I don't get it. They've all obviously had a burger or two in their lives.
and I thought this kind of shiate only happened when they opened a fast food place in Decatur!

If the Random Tuesday Mornings Thoughts girls were there I would be in line too!
The local media has been hyping the restaurant opening ever since the building permit was obtained! If it wasn't for the news coverage, half of those lardasses would be at McDonalds. Or... Whataburger...and not standing in a mile long line waiting for a mediocre-at-best heart attack on a bun.
Either that or they'd be wasting their time arguing about it on some second-rate blog like I'm doing. Zing!
Ugh. The local media have not has... I hate flunkies who don't use proper syntax/grammar.
Jar really? WOW
Robble Robble.
Clearly, it takes intelligence to understand what someone is saying with spelling/grammar errors without pointing them out.
LMBO
Jarhead kind of looks like whimpy from popeye.
Give me a Big Leager (#5) from the old Dairy Mart in Bridgeport. They used thousand island dressing on it. Best ever.
Big Ed.
...except that I was pointing out my own grammatical error...
Lol. I do not.

There is enough people there for a Tea Party!
Ah, it's open season here my friend
It always is; it always has been
Welcome, welcome to the U.S.A.
We're partying fools in the autumn of our heyday
And though we're running out of everything
We can't afford to quit
Before this binge is over
We've got to squeeze off one more hit
We're workin' it
Workin' it
Soon you will be dancing face-to-face
With the limits of ambition and the scars of the marketplace
Welcome to the land of flame and fizz
Where you will learn that packaging is all that heaven is
