Commercial Banned From CBS
A group wishes to build a mosque near Ground Zero and many (surprise) are not too happy. So a different group produces this commercial and tries to get it on TV. Story.
I, once again, am in the minority on this one. To me, Mosque = Muslim but not Mosque = al qaeda. And there is, after all, a huge difference. Now if the group wants to build it because of "in your face" intentions, I got a problem with it. But if it's just a bunch of peaceful folks who wish to worship, I have a hard time stereotyping them as wannabe killers.

It may start out with good intentions, but odds are, once it is built - the real purpose of the location will be an issue. If the real intent is to worship as they wish, then why do they have to build it there? They should not want to cause offense if all they want to do is worship. There is a reason for the desired location....we are just not being told what the reason is.
Their intentions may not be "in your face", but they have to take into consideration the proximity of the real estate.
It's insensitive. Even if they are more secular Muslims, it's just stupid to build near a site where thousands died because otherwise intelligent men believed a very warped version of Islam.
Even though I defend their right to be that stupid, I'm pissed that we are going to waste money protecting these idiots, because it's going to attract a bunch of wackos, just like in other countries when religion and politics mix. (India, Israel, Iran, Iraq - look at me, all alliterative).
Ground zero is not the place for it! It was radical muslims that took the towers down. They say they are a peaceful religion but look up the Qur'an it teaches differently! Build your damn mosque else where!

The Qur’an meets every criterion by which we define hate speech. Not only does the message inspire loathing and disregard for others, but the text mandates the superiority of Islam, even if the means of establishment are by force. This my friends is the religion of our dear president.

Some folks just aren't meant to coexist. Christians/Jews and Muslims are a good example of this. You dont have to be a brain surgeon to understand this. Just look at the middle east (and many other parts of the world). F*cking bombs going off all over the place. Not to mention g*damn planes flying into building HERE. It only takes one bad apple to ruin the whole bunch they say. And this group definitely has their bad apples. And I'm not talking about just being terrorists, but they stink like sh*t, stone people to death, treat women like sh*t, have nappy-*ss beards, listen to f*cked up music, don't speak a word of english, etc. etc. Why the f*ck would we want to make America a home to these folks at the same we are getting tired of all the mexicans invading our country.

If these Muslims had ANY decency, they would stay way far the hell away from not only ground zero, but from NY! How DARE they insult Americans this way!
