I'm pretty sure they are turning it into a Taco Casa. Yeah, exactly what we need...more fast food and more Tex-Mex rolled into one! Would it kill someone to open a damn Applebee's or something?
God we would love a Tex-Mex restaurant in Omaha....or a Church's or a Whataburger...no good seriously fattening Texas comfort food in Nebraska....miss Texas. Snowing again.
I heard the guy who ran armondos into the ground is putting a frozen custard and sushi bar in there. He could make Tex Mex and Sushi work, why not sushi and frozen custard... Sounds like a winner to me!
How about a CRACKER BARREL..now thats yum yum to my tum tum!!!
I really wish that the steak place on the square would turn into the BABES (their sister co.) Even if its just 2 Night a week PLEASE...me needs me some good fried chick
AMEN to Sweetie Pie's having chicken! And while we are talking about restaurants: AVOID Steven's Street in B'Port for breakfast! The biscuits are so tough! I had to use a knife to cut them and that barely worked! hash browns were cold. There was only one other occupied table in the place when we were there. Waitresses were so busy eating their own b'fast, that we hardly got service. Why can't we have a Denny's in the old Western Sizzler?????
Applebee's does suck Cracker Barrel is only one step above Luby's Texas Road House is good, Hooters great, but were getting a Taco Casa and it's better than Taco Bell
Wise County Regional needs more people with plugged arteries so I vote for another Mexican restaurant. That would also result in another couple of handicapped parking spaces at Walmart. Since when is being fat quality someone for close in parking?
I do not blame any business for setting up shop where they know they will make a fortune. Based on the profits of YUM and MCD they are giving the public what they want. Though I own the aforementioned stocks, I do not eat their garbage but am thankful to all the folks who eagerly supper size and order fried pies.
No doubt, Taco Casa, in Decatur, will be a cash cow for some brilliant entrepreneur.
just meet me over to red's in bitchport tonight and i'll show you what a good oilfield trash ass-whoopin is all about and if'n yer able we'll hook up with them 2 tramps in friday am pics..happy friday everybody!
I wouldn't be proud to call myself oilfield trash. The only ass you can kick is on your own rig because you don't understand that cutting wires will cause your system not to work. Bunch of worms.
duh, of course it was in the wc messerupper. they dont report news or sports, just crap that is spoon fed to them by other sources such as the city, schools, gary clayton, coaches etc.
1:11...It is not like we have many options in the WC, there is only one sit down restaurant that serves edible food and that is Go Go Gumbo. Everything else is a culinary nightmare, so why not a Taco Casa. Can we please get one decent resteraunt in Decatur, please!!!
Note to Bono's, marinating your steaks in jalepeno juice is not a good idea unless you marinate for only a short period of time. The acetic acid in the marinade will tenderize the meat, but also breaks down the fat..where the flavor is, and can dry out the steak. Gives you a partially digested texture on the outside of the steak, or the depth the marinade penetrates. Besides, you really don't need to tenderize a good cut; fine method for flank steak though. A properly dry aged cut of beef will have the right texture, tenderness and marbeling per type of cut. All you need is a little salt, pepper, olive oil...sear the meet to the desired doneness and brush with a clove of garlic. Let rest 5 minutes so the juices run back into the meat, don't poke or prod in the mean time.
To anonymous 1:50... You failed to mention... ONLY TURN THE MEAT ONCE! If you turn the steak/burger/chicken a second time you are re-heating the side that has already been exposed to the heat. When you reheat meat, the capillaries, that hold in the juices of the meat, rupture when the moisture expands and results in dried out meat.
1:20, oilfield "trash" do not turn on my lights, computer, televisions or anything else in my house; so as much as I like hard working people, it would be weird to thank them for doing so. Guess I could thank the people who built the hydroelectric plant nearby, though.
1:50 Have you been to Stagecoach Steakhouse in Bridgeport? Great lunches...better dinners. Outstanding steaks. the original Cow Camp chef (when it was good) is there now.
To anonymous 5:29... Grilling 101 NEVER flip the burger more than once and NEVER,EVER flatten the burger with the back of the spatula. If you cook the burger at the correct temperature you will not have to worry about burning/charring the outside of the burger prior to cooking the internal temperature to 140 for rare and 160 for medium well which is the minimum temperature to assure killing all dangerous bacteria. Internal temperature of 170 is for well done but you might as well put a kitchen sponge on a bun if you eat burgers well done.
FYI...Just for snits and giggles I went to chef school.
The restaurant operation was named Stagecoach Steakhouse to highlight the "Stagecoach capital of Texas" designation recently received by Bridgeport. The catering operation is still called Catering by Sagebrush Cafe because it has been in business for over 9 years in Wise County. Thanks for your comments. Brenda Morgan - Owner
I think Stagecoach is alot better than Cow Camp. I guess the chef just gets better with time. He's expanded his menu and I think the steaks are the best I've ever ate.
10:09 & 1:45, we moved The What Not Shop into the corner where the old Radio Shack used to be. We were located between Peppermill Diner and Sunshine Square just a few doors down. We opened up on Saturday. Womens apparel, embroidered baby clothes, school spirit items, craft mall and specialty gifts.
YEAH~~~ TACO CASA ~~ HOME OF THE TACO LITE~~~~~ THEIR HOT SAUCE IS THE BON JOVI~~~ GLAD THE WOK IS OUT OF HERE, HATED THAT PLACE!!!! ROACH LEGS IN THE SALAD DRESSING MADE ME NEVER WANT TO EAT THERE AGAIN!!!!! NASTY NASTY!!!!!

I vote for a Hooters! Who's gonna step up and bring some real class to Wise County??? Luv those breasts and thighs---extra spicy, of course!

Wise County Regional needs more people with plugged arteries so I vote for another Mexican restaurant. That would also result in another couple of handicapped parking spaces at Walmart. Since when is being fat quality someone for close in parking?
Slugs and oilfield trash? What an ass you are....Yeah, 10:11 I believe that one's asking for it!!

Oilfield trash are too stupid to find their own asses, let alone kick someone else's.

I heard teat bar. (politically correct term)
All of you petitioning for chain restaurants are literally human scum.
go home and turn your lights on, crank up your big screen tv's, fire up your laptops, then turn and thank the oilfield trash for bringin it to ya.
Pricks.

Wow! Looks like we've got a side order of self-righteous epicure @ 1:11
It should go well with that entree of oilfield bashers
Bon apetit!

Hey 12:04 would you like to prove it? Big talk when you are typing on a keyboard.
I heard Fuzzy's Taco's for the square as well. It's yummy!

2:20, so wrong. If you turn a burger OFTEN, the juices stay in PLUS you avoid a burned patty.
1:50 Have you been to Stagecoach Steakhouse in Bridgeport? Great lunches...better dinners. Outstanding steaks. the original Cow Camp chef (when it was good) is there now.
who cares what goes in their they could serve prison food and it would be better than what was there
5:27 where is this nearby hydroelectric plant you speak of located at?
To anonymous 5:29...
Grilling 101

I love the oilfield trash mentality.
"Duhhhh. you wanna fight about it? Duhhhh."
"I'll just get in my big ol' truck that I got on a GM Smartbuy and come over there and kick your ass. Derrrrrrrr."
What a bunch of mouth-breathing retards. Do your jobs, then leave. Try not to make the Wise County gene puddle any shallower than it already is.
P.S. Duhhhhhh
Who Cares!
I just hope they get rid of all the roaches!
