Random Monday Morning Thoughts

  • It took me a long time to get there, but I'm a believer in Tech. They beat the heck out of Oklahoma State, and I'm not sure QB Graham Harrell ever gets touched.
  • Bridgeport product Phillip Daugherty was signed by Tech as a quarterback but Harrell came in the next year. Daugherty then transferred to Sam Houston State.
  • A Wise County deputy blog?
  • Verdict on hi-def TV: It really is great. Football games are incredibly different and the more you watch it, the more you realize the difference. (Did you know Sarah Palin had puffy lips?)
  • I tipped the installation guy.
  • He remarked about some of my home decorating: "That's a little crazy but it sure does work."
  • A post you might have missed: AnObiter almost burned her house down.
  • First Baptist of Dallas gets all preachy by having a sermon denouncing gaydom.
  • Some NFL player's ankle went the wrong direction yesterday. I refuse to watch.
  • Did you know you can wash those cheap plastic solo cups? For years I had just assumed they would melt in the dishwasher.
  • While you were sleeping: Circuit City files for bankruptcy. I'm telling you, there's a ton of bad times ahead. Edit: Just saw that DHL will cut 9,500 U.S. jobs.
  • Which has a greater chance: Bridgeport winning the 3A title or Tech winning the National Championship?
  • One of the news channels did a quick piece on how the presidential candidates constantly used had sanitizers. Makes sense. They had some footage of McCain and his wife walking away from a crowd as a handler inconspicuously squirted some of the stuff in their hands.
  • The Professor from Gilligan's Island turns 84 today. Somewhere he's fiddling with a transistor radio.

don't mention the phillip daugherty thing. I'm STILL mad about how he got treated at Tech. I love Tech, but I hate the "Graham cracker".
With my luck, he'll probably wind up playing for the Cowboys, too. And I'll cut my throat!

It is amazing that we can always bring up Christ's love but ignore the fact that He is holy and some things are unacceptable. The clue could be found in the power of procreation. Also amazing is that there is a preacher left that uses the Bible as a guide. What next?

Q What do Lincoln, Kennedy, and Obama have in common....?

Better chance for Bulls to win state. Cause if theres a good opportunity for Tech to be in the championship, the BCS will find a way to screw them and put some sh&$@ team like USC in there.

O yeah, and if Miike Leach was coaching the bulls they would have hung a hundred on the chickens. (eagles).

I seen a lot of comments that were of bad taste on the "swat team" but fat cop ,doghnut shop and barney fife jokes have been around forever! However when you see a "public servant" that post a pic of police brutality in a retaliatory type gesture..... wonder why people made those type comments?...maybe they have been on the receiving end on such great public service!

Skippy, Beware. If you think now that you have HiDef and think Sarah has puffy lips, wait till you see Michelle Obammy.

Why do we have to choose between the raiders and the bulls? Why can't we just have both?

That cops blog make her/he look like an ordinary person. I don't get why there are negative comments left about it. I'm sure if you did your own research you would see that most cops have a myspace page. Whats the difference? Stop being judgemental.

A typical cop, 11:43, who thinks he's all that and a bag of chips.

I find it too controversial for a cop to have a blog anyway.

Hey 12:15 racism went out in the 60's.

Take a close look at today's angel photo, any idea of what the small white circle image is?

Gay sermon: Protesting is such an intelligent act and always accomplishes soooo much. (Sarcasm)

Bet this will be Mike Leach's last year at Tech. Word has it he's heading to Tennesse. We'll see! And, if Tech gets screwed by the BCS you can bet he's gone.

Read any history book and you will see many examples of protests & protesters that did, indeed, lead to great changes.

It's a First amendment right - why look down your nose at that?

12:57, If racism went out in the 60's why is it still being used by liberal weenies? You should be ashamed. You find racism where it doesn't exist. I was only pointing out physical differences and you turn it into racism. Go look in the mirror and stare racism in the face.

Does that First Ammendment you speak of also allow the Pastor from First Baptist Church in Dallas to preach a sermon that says being gay is wrong?

I realize you aren't one of them, but many of the "protestors" want what they deem offensive to be titled hate speech. What gives them the right to title something as hate speech? Why can't I title gay lovers as offensive? Shouldn't I be afforded the same rights under the First Ammendment?

M-M said...

1:42 Please, site some examples of a protest causing the protestee to change their mind. Take this situation, for example. Do these gays actually think they are going to change the mind of this preacher or the minds of any of the church goers? No way. So, it's just a big waste of time and effort.

I never said it wasn't in their right to do it. Just a big waste of time, effort, money etc.

BRIDGEPORT HAS A BETTER CHANCE. TECH WILL GET BEAT IN NORMAN.

Isn't it funny how the Gay KKK takes to the streets demanding overturning of Prop. 8? Even Gov. Schwartznigger told them to be patient and to take it to The California Supreme with the help of the ACLU. Another great example of liberal weenies getting activist judges to write law from the bench while telling the majority of people who voted for banning gay marriage to stick it. Men in black robes know what is better for the masses than the masses themselves.

1257, Liberal Weenies cannot possibly win when great MasterdeBaters like 2:18 goes into action.

Palin gets puffy lips from sucking on snowballs from the Russia side of her igloo.

I know first hand that Phillip lost the job fair and sqaure and according to Leach it was his to lose. The story is that Phillip wasn't putting in the extra time that it took to become the next quarterback. Leach phoned back to Bridgeport requesting help from peers in hopes to get him motivated but it failed. Therefore, he lost the job.
