To anyone who served, from one who did not: Thank you for your service. Our country is a better place because of your effort and the effort of those like you.
This picture gets to me like no other. The look on that little boy's face says it all. God bless America and THANK YOU to ALL who have served to keep her safe and free!
God bless our veterans and those now serving our country in the armed forces. I applaud your valor and patriotism. I even applaud you if you only joined the military so you could go to school...because you knew you'd have to serve to get that education.
But upon looking at that photo, all I can think of is, that little boy would just like to have his daddy back.
Poor little thing. God bless him, he served his country too.
It's ironic. When I came home from Viet Nam from my first tour, I saw old school friends who asked where I had been I told them I was going to school in Calif. When I came back from my second tour and Tet, I got out. I told everyone I had lived in Calif. for a time. Today, we are proud of our men and women who serve. Even in an "unpopular" war. Hopefully, the American public has learned to support those who serve, sacrifice and die for this country. Whether we agree or disagree with the policies or the right to be in this war, NEVER...EVER....turn your back on our men and women in uniform. They deserve nothing less than your absolute support and recognition. SEMPER FI
To 7:05 THANK YOU for YOUR service to this country. I was just a young kid then but I remember the faces of a couple of young men who I grew up around that left , like you to fight in Viet Nam . One returned no longer a young face but an old soul in a young mans body , The other never did come home . I am Proud to have them both in my heart for there -they will allways be the boys who threw ball with a kid on the street. And you SIR are there with them ! THANK YOU for giving me this . B.K.G.
7:05 Thank you for your service and I hope everyone reads your comment. We really need to support our troops no matter what your opinion is on the war.
I appreciate the comments. However, please thank; L/Cpl Larry Tennel Cpl. William Buff SSgt. Anderson SSgt. Baumgardner PFC Alvarez PFC Jennings and 57K of my other friends

I wish I had died in that stinkin' war.
The world and my family would have been better off for it.
The End
I'm saying it to, or emailing, those I know, but to any veterans reading this:
I want to thank you for your service to our country.
Brave little man.
To the rest of you, have the guts his dad had and enlist.
I wonder what that man said to that child?
God bless our veterans and those now serving our country in the armed forces.
