Looks like we had a police chase this morning that ended up with a car plowing into the LBJ Grasslands and catching fire. Three occupants, two male and one female, then hot footed it away. They are still on the run.
Developing . . .
Edit: We're bringing in a helicopter with an infrared camera. Good times.
Edit: The pic is a little generic, but that is an actual DPS vehicle getting involved in the action this morning.

Whatcha gonna do when they come for you.
There's actually 3 law enforcment vehicles in that pic, that's a county pick-up "truck" in front of the DPS and a county car going over the hill, which only looks like a spec.
im sure skip nichols will have the whole story in the messenger this thursday...
...oh wait, he is gone. nevermind, just the usual garbage can be expected again this week.
There is nothing on the WCM Update, so I guess it was not breaking news. Nah, it was just a police chase and manhunt with a helicopter. Unless there is a greiving spouse or child, it's not breaking.
Good times
Why does the DPS use umpteen different vehicles? Back in the day they all drove the same Plymouth Satellite and seemed to be able to do the job just fine.
Ever wonder where your gas taxes go? It ain't for road work, brotha!
hey rpm they drive different vehicles for different needs. the tahoe carries a large set of scales and other state of the art equipment to inspect all of wise county's fine trucking companies that everybody complains about. you are the type who complains about anything
Those Tahoes are Commercial Vehicle Enforcement guys. We've got a bunch of them here in Decatur now. They've been nailing some of the ridiculous truck traffic in the county.
