Random Wednesday Morning Thoughts

Little did we know that "stymied" would be better than what was coming.

  • That would be the sheriff who was the subject the the sexual harassment claim. So this is a bold move.
  • The case wasn't settled, it is just headed to private arbitration. "Morris, the North Texas megachurch’s former senior pastor, was seeking a $1 million one-time payment, and annual payments of $600,000 to $800,000 for the rest of his and his wife, Debbie’s, lives."

  • It probably was suicide, but there's no way that the coroner to know that by simply doing an autopsy.   The man was also identified as Michael Mott, 41.

  • Lawsuits against the government for constitutional violations are almost impossible to win, but sometimes governmental entities just seem to right a check because they want to.
    • Other notable Austin settlements:

  • This is weird. Last month the guy was indicted by a grand jury and then just three days later a prosecutor dismissed it "in the interest of justice." No one has an answer yet as to what is going on here.

  • Random thought: Sometimes the make up of a new city council leads to needed changes.

  • "AUSTIN, Texas — U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, introduced legislation Monday to designate US Highway 287 as a future interstate highway named in honor of President Donald Trump."  Sheesh.

  • So Iraq's military wasn't "decimated" after all?

  • The price of this paint job keeps going up faster than the cost of gas.
  • The military crashes a lot of jets with unforced errors.
  • That would have been a disaster. Some guy are not made for a roast, and McCartney is definitely one of those guys.

  • Trump just landed in CHI-na.
