Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

Wylie made national news when a major hail storm blew through.

  • Tanner Horner trial yesterday:
    • After a suicide attempt while in the Wise County Jail, various letters were found in his cell. Some of them were read to the jury.

    • FBI agent David Rogers was in charge of the recovery of Athena Strand's body from the Trinity River.

    • Let me tell you, the chief medical examiner for Dallas County looked nothing like I thought she would.  And she does a very good job.

    • I'm pretty sure that's the parents of Athena in the gallery during a break.

    • Jail Administrator Joseph Thomas was called to prove up telephone calls made by Horner from the Wise County Jail.

  • We know that Rep. Andy Hopper couldn't get a simple Wise County water bill approved in the legislature last session, and now we get to see how he does with this proposal:

  • I don't know if I'd make that job change.

  • You could see this coming from a mile away.

  • Two congressman engulfed in sex scandals, one from Texas, resigned yesterday.

  • Metroplex news is getting harder and harder to come by:
    • The headline is absolutely the only information in the story.

    • This prominent story right now on Fox 4 features an event that happened way back on March 4th.

  • Trump was asked about his Jesus post yesterday: “I thought it was me as a doctor, and had to do with Red Cross as a Red Cross worker there, which we support, and only the fake news could come up with that one.”  No one lies as much, and has less respect for his supporters, than Trump.

    • Flashback to this moment in the Oval Office when Trump didn't think he was a doctor.

    • And if you are wondering who that lady was standing next to him, she was allegedly a Door Dash worker "delivering" McDonalds to the Oval Office, and claiming that she saved $11,000 because of Trump's "no tax on tips" policy.  Her husband has cancer so Trump gave her $100. (She also has been used as a political prop in Nevada.)

  • Speaking of predictable.

  • The Business Second™.  Warehouses!

  • Don't look at gas prices at the pump this morning.
