Random Friday Morning Thoughts

This was in the Bridgeport Index 10 years ago this week.  Allen would suddenly pass away in 2022. What a great, great photo, and a message to us all.

  • The bodycam videos are really incredible.

  • I thought he would just ride the scandal out -- a tactic which seems to work these days.

  • The Washingtom Post has far greater coverage of the trial going on in Fort Worth than any of the local media.  Gift link

  • Trump finally fired someone.  We knew she was going to be a disaster from day one, and she did not disappoint.

    • Here is her replacement. He remained an election denier even after this.

  • The Official Liberally Lean girl needs a lawyer (and a better spokesperson.)

  • War news:
    • Oh, really? New this morning.

    • It doesn't work that way, hoss.

    • There is no way we didn't kill over 150 school girls, and I don't know why there isn't a public outrage about it.
    • The White House released another insane video treating the war like it is all fun and games.

  • Dateline Arkansas. I meant to post this yesterday.

  • The Business Second™. "In 2015, H-E-B bought 17 acres on the south side of East Bonds Ranch Road, next to U.S. 287. At the time, the corridor was largely undeveloped farmland. In December, H-E-B purchased another 5 acres adjacent to the Bonds Ranch property from a family holding company."

  • The Second Business Second™. It's just reorganization so they will  stick around for a while longer.

  • That's a banger of a headline even for the opinion section.

  • Lauren Whitener Clock: 6 years and 246 days.
