Random Thursday Morning Thoughts

Side note: The CEO of Victoria's Secret back then, Leslie Wexner, has been in the news lately -- and not in a good way.

  • Former Wise County Sheriff Phil Ryan died yesterday at the age of 80. Good dude. He was in office from 1992 through 2004.
  • Weatherford and other parts of Parker County spent the evening in darkness last night.

  • "A former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot who once trained American servicemembers on advanced combat aircraft, including the F-35, has been arrested and accused of illegally training Chinese military pilots, federal prosecutors said Wednesday."

  • John Cornyn's new ad against Ken Paxton. Oh, my.

  • University of Texas poll:
    • U.S. Senate race:

    • Attorney General race:

  • Anyone else think that is an overly specific number for a doctor to give?

  • Wait a second. We just found out about the year-old shooting this week, and the local DA just up and sends it to a grand jury yesterday and gets it no-billed?

  • Say what? From Wall Street Journal reporter:

  • That's some quality work right there. "A woman puts the finishing touches on a bear snow sculpture in Central Park in New York City, U.S., February 25, 2026.Adam Gray/Reuters."

  • The Business Second™.   Nvidia released its financial report yesterday.  Good lord.

  • Random nerdy legal stuff.  I learned this from the a concurring opinion released yesterday by the Supreme Court. I had no idea.
