Random Friday Morning Thoughts

And if I thought Buzbee was in the news a lot back then, I had no idea what was coming. (Side note: the referenced verdict gave rise to a legal malpractice claim by the insurance company against their defense lawyer and firm.)

  • We have a resolution.

    • I hadn't even mentioned the MIT killing this week. Here's the connection to the believed shooter (Valente) and the professor (Loureiro)

    • And a poster on Reddit solved the case? Yep.

  • I am really, really surprised by this. The verdict was around 8:00 p.m. last night after about five hours of deliberations and three jury notes.

  • Such disrespect to John F. Kennedy.

    • And the way the announcement was made, by Trump's press secretary, makes you believe we are living in North Korea.

  • I never understood why they were sealed in the first place.

  • The sentence was 15 years, but I can't tell if it was by a plea bargain or by a judge sentencing after a guilty plea. It was not a jury trial.

  • This is awful. There were two pilots on board.

  • It's Epstein Files Release Day.

  • If for some reason this sounds odd . . .

    • . . .  there's a reason. Flashback:
