WBAP this morning (hey, I listen to it briefly for the news) was reporting 114 "near Bridgeport" was shut down due to a rock truck turning over around CR 3241.
That's just odd to hear Wise County referenced on a traffic report. Anybody know if it was that bad?

It's Wise County, near Bridgeport, involving a rock truck. It could be near Alvord by the Hot Skillet, whatever...it's in Wise County.....and it almost always involves a gravel truck or trash truck.......it's nothing you aren't already used to. I just feel sorry (not really) for all the urban types that drive out to look at the new ranchette they are gonna buy, and have their heads so far up their a$$es they don't even notice the gravel trucks, and they buy their little piece of heaven, and then, ooops, a gravel truck overturns, or smashes a family of five who were on their way to Walmart, and then there's a traffic problem. That's why it's on the radio......it's all for the suburbanites. Oh, you can add toxic carrying waste or water haulers from the oil and gas industry to that list as well. God help them if a tornado ever touches down.

Correct me if im wrong but i do remember reading that the family of five had a flat tire and crossed into the lane of the rock truck.
1:22PM, remind me which one you're speaking of, there's been so many family of fives killed, maimed or injured in Wise County. It's pitiful, and I alvord your county like the plague.
ACTUALLY THERE WAS A ROCK TRUCK INVOLVED THIS MORNING IT WAS A REGULAR PICK UP TRUCK AND ONLY THAT VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT AND THE DRIVER WAS NOT INJURED.
How does 2:41 help clarify this situation? Was a rock truck involved? Was a pickup involved? The driver of what vehicle was not injured? Where did it happen? Is the problem cleared? Why add something to the thread if it clarifies nothing?
Wonderful news 2:41PM.
And while I have your attention, I was just wondering if you need a new keyboard. Your current one seems to have the Caps Lock key stuck.
If this is the case, just let me know, and I'll mail a new one to you in care of the Sheriff's Office. (You must remember I alvord Wise county like the plague.) I'm sure they will let you pick it up there - I'll call in advance to let them know you'll be stopping by. Maybe you work there? That would be convenient.
Do you know if you need USB or PS2? I can send both if you're not sure. Please turn your computer off before replacing a failed PS2 keyboard, otherwise, you risk burning the keyboard port out on your motherboard. If it's USB, you can just replace it with the PC still powered on.
If you just forgot to take the Caps Lock off, please let me know, and I won't bother sending you new keyboards. Or, let me know if I pi$$ed you off in some way, and that you were just yelling at me. Regardless, IRDGAFF.
OK this is 2:41 the post should have read there was no rock truck involved, I should have proof read the post before I sent it. I usually always type with my caps lock on I cant explain that one and I do not get offended by this blog when i am offended i will go else where.
Re: 5:00
When you talk, do you babble on the same as your writing? I pity your friends.
Re: 5:00. I like good spelling and grammar as much as the next person--but that post was a BIT much! I agree with 10:04 PM.
". . . and I alvord your county like the plague." That's a good one! Now will someone PLEASE tell me why everyone insists on pronouncing it "al-void" instead of "al-VORD"?!?!?!? I swear this is the only place I've ever been that I've heard it like that! Originally is one thing but intentional confusion of travellers is another. It goes right along with "Get on eastbound to get back on 51 south."
OK my 10:22 post got garbled. It should say "Originality" not "originally" and it's "get on eastbound 114 to get back on 51 south". Sorry to the editors.
