10:30 PM TV Watching

If anyone watched TV at 10:30 last night, you would have thought World War III had broken out in northern Collin County. It seems as though a tornado was spotted near the metropolis of Anna, which prompted all four local affiliates to go to DEFCON 5. I'll bet tomorrow morning we will learn that there was little to minimal damage. Triple Sheesh. Edit upon the following morning: When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. That was some pretty dramatic footage of at least 13 homes destroyed.

I must have my head up my own butt. I live next to the town of Anna and didn't even know anything about it. It must not have been that bad..so I guess I will continue to go about my business. Good thing I look at this blog every now and again, I get to learn about what is going on in my neck of the woods...lol

How did our ancestors ever make it without the showmanship weather forcasters we have now?

Some of these folks are way over the top.

Reminds me of all your pronouncements on the Iraq war. Short sighted opinions crafted to look like facts.

Looks like cj assumed the right position though.

People died. Looks like a little more than minimum damage. If there was one coming for Decatur I would hope they would do the same thing. Sorry you libs do not thing it was news worthy.

Barry - a bit insensitive on this one. Folks in Decatur on that hill could be hit hard by a tornado.

God forbid one ever sails through our county.

Thank heaven Barry has lawyering to fall back on and does not solely rely on reading palms, forecasting the future or weather to pay for his internet access.

Incidentally, your mia culpa was duly noted and appreciated.

Wow! I need to watch the news more often. I live right here in McKinney and we didn't have any rain or anything, just some lightening. Didn't know all of that was happening next door in the town of Anna and Westminister and that it had that much damage. How aweful! Don't I feel sheepish now for my comment above!

For all you Wise County people that don't get out much. Anna is larger than either Bridgeport or Decatur. Population over 6,000 people.
