yeah, yeah, yeah. That's Kelli Pickler who lost a few weeks ago and was reunited with her father who had been serving time in prison for something or another. She was one of those down home good ole gals who came across as dumb as a stump, but I was convinced she probably really had an IQ of 170.
This is Kelly Pickler's homecoming, having been voted off American Idol (believe at #6). When she walks on the stage, her father is there to greet her. He has been in prison for years, when he stabbed a man (to death, I think). He got out of prison, the day after she got voted off of American Idol. Also, her mother left when she was two. Came back during her pre-teens, physically abused her, then lost custody to her paternal grandparents. They have continued to raise her and her younger brother since this time. It's a great story.
