Get this: according to the always-beaten-down Lari Barager, "The couple told investigators they were living as man and wife but they are also half brother and half sister." Hmmmm? Is that wrong?
Anyway, Sheriff David Walker made the TV appearance. "They're sick," he said. [Edit: My previous grammatical error corrected.]
Investigator Michael Neagle got on TV as well.

Our local newspapers have not yet reported on Phyllis because she just turned herself in either yesterday or today...not sure which. The other was arrested earlier this month. Calm down, Barry!
Why is it not a surprise that a couple living as husband and wife in Wise County who have the same last name just happen to be half brother and sister??

Seemingly a great deal of child porn activity in Wise County. Not to mention the swap clubs in Runaway Bay and the love pits in Bridgeport, just northwest of town.
You'd think a learned man would know the difference between "Their" and "They're" in Sheriff Walker's qoute.

Yes, "they're" is correct..but I belive what Anon 11:15 was pointing out is that last night it was "Their" - Barry fixed it.
Funny how there are more comments about the text and spelling than there are about the actual issue.
You would think people would have more to worry about than the use of a word.

Have no fear, folks. I'm certain someone screwed up enough in this event that our DA will find a way to dismiss this case quietly. She may even find a way to give this outstanding "couple" an award for improving computer use in Wise Co.

As to the local news - there was a breaking news on the arrest of the woman on the WC Messenger website yesterday afternoon. I kept expecting Barry to update the blog with it.
why does barry always try to make the MESS look like they do not do their job? that lady was arrested yesterday according to update, so how can they write a story about it a week earlier? get a grip dude

Yet another of the pitfalls of pornography. When will someone realize that this industry is dangerous to our society? First of all, I would like to say, that there is definitely something very awkward about Wise County. I for one chuckle everytime the mention comes up of where I live. When you work in the city and have lived there most of your life, you just never seem to get used to living in this county. Wise County is known for it's inbred, it's drug labs, it's perverts and convicted Child Molesterers, always has been, always will be and why? Drive through any area of Wise. No City Codes of Enforcement, yards are used as dumping grounds, junk yards, Auto pounds...waste management dumpsters at the end of driveways...geeze, we built better forts as kids compare to the huts that the majority of people live in out here. Wise County is an embarrasment, so are their politicians...~~!!

I'm sorry but there is no way I would trust either one of these people with my kids/grandkids. They look like white trash idiots, what could they have possibly said or done to sucker a parent into letting them keep their children. You can tell by looking at them what creeps they are. News report says they had 2 kids of hers living with them. What ages are they? Did they know about any of this stuff? Did they participate in any way? Who were they baby-sitting for? This investigation is far from over.
I know the children very well and can tell you for a fact that thay were not involved and to suggest such a thing with out any factual basis only victimizes them further. As a matter of fact at least one of them has disowned their mother. Leave the kids alone!!!
