Since heaven involves eternity (which sounds both good and bad), wouldn't it be cool if we start off in heaven at age 1 and age to, say, 80 and then begin getting younger each year. You know, go 78, 79, 80, 79, 78, 77 etc. all the way down to 1 and then the process repeats itself all over again.
I'll start lobbying for that and, since I'm Baptist, I feel pretty confident I can get that deal done.

Sorry, Barry. When you die you're dead. That's it. So better do your good stuff now 'cause this is all we'll ever have - Baptist connections or not.
When I was 24 I was involved in a bad car wreck. I was air lifted to Harris Methodist in Ft. Worth, and I flat lined as soon as they got me into the hospital. I was pronounced dead, and was confirmed dead for 31 minutes. According to my doctors, without their intervention I began to randomly have a pulse. Within 3 hours I was awake and eating ice out of a cup in my hospital room. All I remember while I was "dead", was reliving the accident. I remember seeing a light and a wooden staircase leading up to it. I remember wondering what happened, and I remember just thinking I was asleep and having a dream (theoretically I may have been, but I was dead for 31 minutes) I also remember seeing like weird glimpses of my childhood, family, fun things in my life, family members that died, and then the car wreck. I remember seeing my dad sitting by my bed side crying as I was "dead". I am not a religious person at all. Some say this is just a dream I had, or that I came out of the crash with something messing up my brain or something. When I was dead it was the most peaceful, most relaxing and best feeling I can ever imagine. The sky was an odd shade of purple-almost like a keywest sunset after a storm. I have struggled believing this for the last 15 years, but I must say-while I am asleep this is not something I dream about. I can think about what I saw, but it does not reoccur while I am sleeping if that makes sense. Anyway enough of my rambling, I just know that car wreck changed my life in many ways and helped me to find religion.
anon 10:04. So sorry for you that you do not have the hope of salvation. It would be difficult for me to face each new day without the knowledge of My Lord watching over and seeing me through each day - and knowing, and praying, and trying to live my life to his pleasure, that I will be granted the peacefulness and love of his house in eternity. And also that I will again meet those who have departed before me. I will pray for you.
You are hysterical!!!
I would rather not age and de-age though. Give me an ageless existence where I already have knowledge and capabilities. Having to go thru Acne and etc again would not be fun.
Barry, way too much time on your hand
So....do we have to have a business meeting and vote to get this accomplished?!
There is no time outside of earth! God created time for earth only!
Hey anon at 10:06,
Heaven is for ETERNAL life!
I'll come to your meeting, Barry...and nominate you to be eternal babysitter for all those babies that'll be running around!! I'll take heaven just the way it is!
anon 10:36 We know that.See everyone will either live forever or have eternal life. To have eternal life means having a personal relationship with Jesus. When you ask Jesus to come into your heart eternal life starts right then. The ones that don't ask the Lord into their hearts will live forever ( there is a big difference)they will live forever out side of the presence of the Lord. What I was saying that time was created for earth there is no time as we know it when we get to heaven. When we get to heaven we will not marry, have kids etc.. like here on earth. It's our spirit that get bornagain and in heaven we are neither male or female. spirits have no gender and thus man is neither male or female but pure spirit.
It seems to me that life is backwards anyways. We should start off with dying since that is the worst part....then go through old age....then we would regress into middle-age where we would go to work....and then on into young adulthood where we would go to college and party it up....then on into high school....and into grade school...then into early childhood where we would spend our takes playing carefree.....then we would be an infant where everyone else would take care of us...then we would be born....and we would spend the last nine months of our lives floating in a warm, comfortable space....and we would finish off life as an orgasm......what could be better than that????
wtf
littlecatpussy you are satan's little bro
I love your thinking, Barry! And, we need to have all the money when we're young, and can still stay up past the news, and pay it off in our retirement! You know how retired people WANT TO WORK, whereas, young people like to party and hang out all night.......
Life works backward to me.
Equally ridiculous would be the person who does not believe in this lifetime (of course we have some of those fools as well). If this one could be accomplished, another would be no problem at all for God.
Have at it all you who profess to know all about afterlifes. I'm unaware of any evidence for it another than some hocus-pocus stuff in ancient fair tales. Please recall that our little earth is an insignificant speck in a vast, evolving and expanding universe. You’re free to believe in or hope for the promised afterlife. I’ll just try doing a good job in this one and enjoying what is real.
Anon 7:53,
I understand what you are getting at. But one thing I learned from my old physics professor that I carry with me to this day. When you sleep, you dream----are those dreams tangible? No, they are merely your minds' illusion of reality.
While it is more than plausible the "after life" is not a tangible place---in theory it could quite possibly just be a "dream".. As in what you think it is, will be when you die.
I am no theological or natural sciences scholar, I am just a mere computer engineer. But it only makes sense heaven, the after life or whatever you call it is "what you make of it".
Interesting bit on dreams there...I'm plagued by them. Think they're my own personal bullwhip. Need less of them!
That aside, shout-out to ANON who keeps pulling the 'littlecatpussy' stuff: ShutUp. A) we conservatives don't need "douche bags" like you around (in your honor BCD), and B) your attitude is weak.
Bigcatdaddy is an oldtimer 'round here....you're just a pain in the kabooty.
