Video Clip Of The Year
As the Internet grows, there is not a single piece of news talk show video that doesn't make it to the web. My vote for the greatest clash of the year is this one of Phil Donahue on Bill O'Reilly's show "talking" about the war in Iraq.
Phil schooled him.

Quit spinning. Phil is a liberal idiot and always will be. He hasn't "schooled" anyone.
Good call Barry. I urge all readers to watch the clip. If you still want to send our kids to die in this misadventure, so be it.

So what, we are supposed to pull everybody out of that war and live happily ever after? You don't think we will have an attack RIGHT after we pull all our troops out??
How do you think you are making all of those kids feel when you say we are sending them in to die? They are trying to protect you so try to give them a little respect! When I am old enough, and there is still a war going on somewhere, i will list so quick that you wouldnt believe it. I love my country and, I for one, am also I don't have but one life to lose for my country. And for you just to try to ruin it!
They enlisted themselves, and nobody made the troops do that. The troops are not selfish..you liberals are. You wouldn't lose your life for millions of others. You won't fight for the rights of your country, but you don't want to share it in other places.
Barry, Barry, Barry...stupid post, stupid clip. Makes Donahue look like an even bigger caricature of himself. Bill O'Reilly makes liberals feel threatened BECAUSE he SAYS THINGS. And, I happen to agree with about 90% of what he espouses...
And, I don't think you truly believe all of that liberal nonsense. It's just easier than being conservative...
...oh my - the only thing that would have made this better (or worse) is to have thrown Limbaugh into this mix of blowhards!
What would Phil Donahue fight for? Freedom of speech? Sure, it sounds great but it comes with a price. We don't get to vote on what we like and don't like just because it's a good idea. We get to do it because many people have given their lives to give us that ability to vote. No one wants to be in Iraq. Absolutely no one. Yet, there are some crazy people around the world who would threaten our freedoms and sadly enough, we do have to do some unsavory things to protect what we have. I'm ready to get our people out of Iraq today but I also want to see some stability around the world before we have more airplanes flying into buildings.
O'Reilly can really get tied up when someone who can articulate a position and shout over him is on his show. Bill resorts to pat phrases and unprovable pontifications when intellectually challenged. Donahue is an unabashed liberal who simply objects to the current war in Iraq. O'Reilly is simply a bully incapable of logical argument whose only retort is to cut off his opponent.
Some people need to be cut off. Phil is an ex-talk show host, folks, not a political scientist.
To Anon 8:50- And just because a screwball like O'Reilly got a lame news show where he can manipulate all his interviews however he wants that makes him a political scientist?
Er, hum, if it's so "lame," how come everybody's watching--and making sound bytes of--it? I mean, c'mon, Donahue's show is the one that got cancelled....
Comments4u, Not "everyone" is watching the right wing nutz. And of those who do, some are left-wingers who need a good laugh now and then. Let me over-generalize and propose that liberals like to analyze and discuss issues to death - usually agreeing on nothing. Conservatives like to be lectured to with pat phrases. (I didn't invent the term "ditto-heads"). It's just easier TV to have some pompous pontificator quoting (unnamed) sources to spoon feed garbage to gullible dittos.
Oh, dear, I do believe you just called me a "gullible ditto." lol
That aside, it's amazing to me how the liberals view themselves as so enlightened, while conservatives get pegged as a bunch of simpletons murmuring their zombie allegiance to "pompous pontificator[s]."
And, I would say there's a bunch of us watching the "wing nutz." Checked the ratings for Fox News lately? Oh, maybe you have, and that's why you're so paranoid....
