Grass Fires
Based upon the amount of police radio chatter going on at 2:30 p.m., there appears to be some pretty big grass fires popping up. Developing.
It seems like the two main fires are near 730 in Boyd and another around CR or FM 2048 (I don't know where that is).
A helicopter has arrived to drop water.

I think Tarrant County is pretty much on fire too. I have had calls from people from out of town that have seen it on the news.

we can only expect to see these types of fires to go on sd long as we have people who ignore the signs that anybody with a half a mind would see that teel us that we should not burn our trash even if we have a screen over this i sure hope that our county leaders in act a ban on fireworks for the new year so that we can cut down on the chances of fires being started that way however we as the citizens of wise county should speak out and let our leaders know that they should proscute those who ignore the burn ban and put every one of us in danger
There are restrictions on fireworks for this season. No fireworks with fins or sticks. Read the paper; educate yourself. Those writers don't do all that work just to make their bosses rich. They do the work so you, the community will be informed.
Arrest these people for arson.

The Fire Marshal & Deputies have been issuing citations for this! That is just the part that isn't getting out. I'm sure there will be some arrests also. The Fire Marshal is taking care of business though as much as he can.
