Random Friday Morning Thoughts

Three were killed in the Texas Panhandle.

  • After being hit in the head by a shot put two months ago, he is finally home from the hospital.

  • Federal charges were announced yesterday in a 2004 grizzly killing in Farmers Branch, but arrests had been made a long time ago by local cops on stop charges.
  • Remember the guy who claimed Tesla's auto-pilot caused him to crash into a home at high speed? We have an update.

  • Good grief.

  • It's nuts how some police departments won't release any bodycam after a shooting but others will. Case in point: This video which shows an arguably questionable incident, was freely posted yesterday by a sheriff's office.

  • U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro has no idea what she is doing.

  • Mark my word, this is all part of a plan to steal the upcoming mid-terms.

  • And the grift never ends.
    • Example 1.

    • Example 2. (Trump owns stock in Micron.)

Random Thursday Morning Thoughts

Flashback from the Messenger. That's current Atlanta Braves pitcher Bryce Elder on the far right.

  • Weight loss and criminal justice stories:
    • The man saw a need amongst him in the hallways and came up with a side-hustle.
    • "Bedell was arrested in September 2025 and was charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor related to illegally selling weight loss drugs."

  • This story out of Houston gets even weirder when you learn the restaurant was the very high-tone Bob's Steak and Chophouse.  (Full detailed Probable Cause Affidavit is here.)

  • We've crashed another one. (But this time one airman is still missing.)
  • You don't see this very often:

  • Trump yesterday: "By the way, on July 4th, it’s going to be approximately 107 degrees out, and I’m gonna go and I’m gonna make a really long speech just to show that I can do anything."
  • Get ready for an increase in ICE raids this summer.

  • "A video appearing to show children at a church watching a skit in which boys or men in military uniforms pretend to fatally shoot someone. In the clip, adults and children repeatedly chant, 'Take him out! Blow him up!'"   Yep, it's real and comes to us from Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.

  • Speaking of electing socialists lately:
    • From yesterday:

    • Ongoing:

  • Let's check in on Fox News this morning.

  • Lawyers in the news:
    • "Prosecutors say he has a history of similar behavior. In 2009, he was convicted in Illinois for unlawful window peeping."  Story.

    • "Within 24 hours of his arrest in February, his employer at the time issued a brief statement: 'Gabriel Kabak is no longer an employee at the Harris County DA’s Office.'”  Now, months later, we have this . . . .

Random Wednesday Morning Thoughts

And not a small bribe either-- it was $200,000. But he surprisingly received three years probation out of federal court.

  • Gift link.  I don't want a landfill (or data center for that matter) in my backyard either, but they have to go somewhere, right?

  • Big revision to Dallas PD's "dress code" went live yesterday.

  • Love it or hate it, it probably will be a "circus."

  • Millions breathed a sigh of relief yesterday when the Supreme Court (barely) decided that the law for the last 160 years is still the same law.

    • But Trump's main henchman, Stephen Miller, immediately went all in on The Handmaid's Tale about the court's decision.

    • And Wise County's state representative fell right into the goose-step line.

  • Buried in the headlines yesterday was this news about this fall's term for the Supreme Court. They will strike all of the firearm bans down, but it's still noteworthy.

  • No wonder he spends so much time distracting us with craziness.

  • Speaking of grift, Trump is flying to North Dakota this morning in his gifted plane from Qatar.

  • NPR ran with a pre-written "Justice Alito is resigning" story yesterday before quickly retracting it.  But the released message from the reporter which was sent to Alito to apologize is downright weird.

  • Trump will have the flags flying at half-staff by noon.

  • A socialist defeated a 15 term Congressman in Colorado last night.
