I'm Not Saying It Is Right. I'm Not Saying It Is Wrong.

But while watching a video of a Wise County Sheriff's Deputy pursuing an alleged reckless driver, that speed got my attention. Everything, and I mean everything, is recorded these days.

(This is the top portion of the video. I've edited out the date.)

Another deputy will show up later to do field sobriety testing. He tells the person to walk over in front of his "nice Charger."

This type of attitude and lack of deference towards the police is precisely why police are being shot at an increasingly alarming rate.

More Proof of misappropriation of our county tax dollars. County law enforcement has become nothing more than an extension of the DPS; little more than Barney Fife traffic cops. Sheriff Akin should have never left the DPS if he wants to run a highway patrol unit. And I expect to see a WCSO deputy on a motorcycle any day, operating a "Check Point Chickie".(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kplr_UDUIM). Maybe if they spent more time on the county roads we wouldn't be reading WC Messenger crime reports that report "complainant was gone when deputy arrived".

Not correct counselor, but everything should be, I still think lawyers should wear body cams. Wouldn't that be interesting...

I do wish you had the compassion to stop putting down cops for one day. especially right after two of them just got shot in Dallas. Give it a break for one week.

And according to the GPS info. They were travelling this fast on FM51 between FM2123 and SH114. Luckily there are never any accidents near those two intersections so reckless driving in that area should certainly go unchecked, he said with his tongue firmly lodged in his cheek.

What’s the big deal? They drive that fast to go to lunch.

Barry is a fraud. Typical of the Regressive Left. He’s a loser and douchebag too.

1:25---Have you not noticed how many drug runners have been caught because they are speeding. Perhaps its a good idea WCSD is patrolling highways also. If you are not speeding, then you don't need to worry about it. Stop whining. They are doing a good job.

I think if a deputy in pursuit needs to go 107 miles to catch a reckless driver, we can pretty much drop the "alleged", can't we?

Anonymous said...

So if the cop was doing 107 how fast was the offender going ? For my part if they don't stop for the lights just stop and shoot them ! I see no difference in a speeding car or a bullet !

You ought to post some videos of your drunk driving loser constituents speeding, swerving, running lights and smashing their cars into innocent law abiding citizens.

I miss Speedo Man. Do you think we will see him in Heaven?

The drive was allegedly reckless. Completely safe to be traveling so fast that the deputy could barely catch up.

And 7:54 is too stupid to understand. It's the expenditure of county taxpayer dollars doing the job the state is supposed to do while the services county citizens expect from WCSO are compromised. THAT is what 1:25 is complaining about. And I happen to agree with her/him.
