Very Random UIL Re-Alignment Thought

How would you like to be Abilene? Good lord. The travel.

I'm looking for Bridgeport and Decatur.

Edit: Oh, my! Bridgeport and Decatur have divorced again.

Whoa on Haltom and Richland not being in the same alignment, either. That is a very longstanding tradition between two high schools that are part of the same school district, and that even share a football stadium. How in the heck do they not get aligned together? Who are these people that determine this stuff? Or is it just a software program?

Might be that Haltom and Richland are not longer in the same classification...they could play non-conference probably...

Remember the days when Bport and Decatur were in 2A, and the one high school in Keller was in the same district with them? And so was Northwest.

Who came up with the name University Interscholastic League?

I find it strange that parents still allow their kids to play football given what we now know. But science has never been a strong suit for most Americans, e.g. global warming, processed food and creationism to name a few.

yea! Weatherford no longer in the Arlington district. Now they are in the Keller district. (a very low and unenthusiastic yea!)

Bridgeport and Decatur have not been in the same football district for the last two years. They were separated into Div I and Div II in 2014. They will stay separated by Div I and Div II for the next two years.

Bridgeport and Decatur have been in the same "BBall and other sports" district for the last two years and will be in the same district for the next two years.

Nothing new there.

District makeup for BBall and other sports will be very tough. Argyle and Decatur twice each year in Volleyball ought to be fun to watch.

Look at Amarillo Tascosa 6A district. Includes Midland/Odessa schools and San Angelo. All other Amarillo schools are 5A. Abilene was in that district 2 years ago. DFW is closer.

4:32p is correct.
Abilene was going to have to travel one way or the other, the Metroplex is the best of the options.

1208pm, I see thousands of grown men walking around without any serious effects from high school football.

Football is just a symptom but in 20 years the world will be lacking of grown men.
